Cajou (5), Irizarry (4), Høier (1), Williams (1) Manhattan is the only athletic program in Division I with the “Jaspers” 20-point Games: Grimme (8), Tatum (3), Guiton (1) nickname. The unique moniker honors one of Manhattan’s most mem- orable figures, Brother Jasper of Mary, F.S.C. Brother Jasper served 25-point Games: Grimme (4) Manhattan College in the late 1800s and was the first coach of Manhat- 30-point Games: Grimme (1) tan’s baseball team.

Double-Figure Rebounding Games: Grimme (9), Guiton (1) He is also credited as the creator of the “seventh-inning stretch,” which has become a time-honored tradition at ballparks across the country. Double-Figure Assist Games: Tatum (1) During a game in the 1880s, Brother Jasper noticed students getting Double-Doubles: Grimme (7), Guiton (1) restless in the middle of the seventh inning of a close game, so he called timeout and told the students to stand up a stretch for a few minutes Games Leading Manhattan In Scoring: Grimme (14, 2 ties), Tatum (6, 1 tie), Irizarry (2, 1 tie), Guiton (2), Cajou (1), O’Reilly (1) before resuming the game.
