DOHA: Qatargas has made a donation to Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) in support of its Syrian relief cam- paign, titled “Ghouta Appeals for Help.” The donation included funds raised at its 15th annual Golf Open, apart from an additional Qatargas contribution. The donation was handed over by Public Relations Manager at Qatargas, Mansour Rashid Al Naimi, to Executive Director at RAF, Dr Mohammed Salah Ibrahim. Ghouta is a green agricultural belt surrounding the city of Damascus in the south and east with a total popula- tion of 1.5 million. It is under siege by the government forces and the people are facing a severe humanitarian crisis. RAF campaign aims to deliver various kinds of aid including food, clothes and medicines to the affected people in Ghouta. Commenting on Qatargas support to this cause, Al Naimi, said Qatargas was pleased to support RAF for their Syrian relief project that is aimed at delivering urgent humanitarian aid to the Syrian people.
