Our Auction features an exciting variety of items, experiences, and services in a wide range of prices. Many items you would be purchasing anyway, so why not “get a deal”, have fun, and support our kids all at the same time? This overview will help you navigate the closings, get the best deals, and have a ton of fun! Why are we raising money? The money generated from our auction will help the CK8 Parent Teacher Student Association continue their mission to fund outdoor education and enriched curriculums for all students attending Cascade K-8 Community School. Cascade K-8 is small school with BIG goals. OUR PTSA believes in the power of enrichment and the wide reaching effects of being able to provide programs that inspire and support the kids’ own interests. We aspire to give each child an opportunity to shine as we work hard to provide funding for music, languages, science, technology, art, and engineering programs for students and teachers. Now it’s up to you! As you bid, keep in mind that EVERY DOLLAR goes directly to CK8 student activities. So jump in, raise those pens, and BID for the KIDS! Together we can make this an evening to remember! THANK YOU for your generous support! ~ YOUR CK8 AUCTION COMMITTEE 5 | Page World’s Fair 2015 CASCADE K-8 AUCTION COMMITTEE Auction Co-Chairs: Lara Grauer & Rian Speidel Procurement Chair: Banquet & Decorations Chair: Nikki Ono Mandy Cohrs-Hoene Procurement Team: Decorations Team: Sherry Edwards Jen Salem-Clack Elena Kuo Tiffany Pitts Susan Campbell Kerri McKeighen Jennifer Payne Lisa Painter Renee Smith, Auction Consultant Classroom Project Leaders: Maureen, Melodee, Sheryl, Carolyn, Tamara, Michael, Shereen, Bob, Becca, Kelle, Deb, Veronica, Elena, Suzanne, Trish, Candy, Amy, Louann & Steve Tiffany Pitts and Ren Caldwell, Raffle Coordinators Nikki Ono, “Night of” Silent Auction Coordinator Astrid Held-Rude, Auction Logo and Invitations Design Catherine Carr, Dessert Dash Coordinator Troy Whalen, DJ Extraordinaire with Matthew Edwards, CK8 alumni DJ in training Lara Grauer - Slideshows Bar Services provided by Jersey’s Catering provided by the Shorecrest H.S. Shorecrest Culinary Arts is a yearlong program that introduces students to the food industry with hands-on training and experience. The students work in a professional kitchen, mirroring a restaurant environment. Throughout the year, students learn culinary skills and prepare and serve plated dinners, box lunches, and run catering events from our kitchen. Events run from small breakfasts, to buffets for 200. ALL proceeds from the dinners and catering events go back into the program and are used for food, field trips, equipment, and uniforms. Thank you for supporting our students! 9 | Page World’s Fair Win over $1000 worth of local gift cards! Tickets are $10 each and only 300 will be sold! Bidding Instructions Bid numbers are issued at the check-in table. Couples share the same bid number. Separate bid numbers are available upon request. THE SILENT AUCTION: The Silent Auction is divided into four different color coded sections: 1. Green (1000’s) bidding closes at 6:15pm 2. Blue (2000’s) bidding closes at 6:35pm 3. Purple (3000’s) bidding closes at 6:50pm 4. Silver (4000’s) bidding closes at 7:30pm The catalog is also arranged in these sections. At the auction, the catalog number will match up with each item and its bid sheet. To bid: write your bidder number on the first available line on the bid sheet. Bids will go up incrementally by line. You may skip ahead to bid the amount you wish to pay. It is suggested that you keep an eye on the items that you really want! BUY IT NOW! The Guaranteed Purchase Option At the bottom of each bid sheet is a price that will guarantee that you will win the item. You may skip to the Guaranteed Purchase Line by filling in your Bid Number and drawing a line down the length of the sheet. This closes the item to further bidding. 11 | Page World’s Fair EXPRESS PAY Express Pay is a great new tool that minimizes check-out lines at the end of the evening. When you arrive at the Auction – please proceed to the Bank to check-in. The check-in process now includes registering your Visa or MasterCard and providing the Bank with your mailing address at the same time as you get your Bidder Number. If you would prefer to pay by check, you may also leave the Bank with a signed blank check made out to Cascade K8 PTSA. Registering your payment method at check-in means that at the end of the night, you are able to skip checking out at the Bank and proceed straight to Item Pick-up, located at the Silent Auction. If you would like to review your purchases at the end of the evening, you may visit the bank for a preliminary invoice. Final invoices will be mailed to all attendees within two weeks. About your purchases: - Unless otherwise stated, all gift certificates and services expire on April 4th, 2016 - All items are offered “As-Is” Although we have attempted to describe auction items accurately, CK8 Auction Committee neither warrants nor represents and in no way shall be held responsible for: the correctness of description, genuineness, authorship, or condition of the property.
