On reflection we have been able to meet our goals as laid out in our strategic plan following consultation and engagement with all associations during the review process of your respective quadrennial plans. Our objectives for the past four years were: ‘Person on the Podium’ - getting elite athletes on to the Podium Increase the number of sports participating in Games Promotion of Olympic Values including Respect, Excellence, Friendship Promote drug free sport through the WADA programme While we recognise we still have a long ways to go, we have made significant strides by focusing on what is important to achieve the aforementioned objectives. As the 2013 – 2016 quadrennial commenced, the biggest challenge from the outset was the introduction of the Non Profit Organisations (NPO) legislation that forced all of us to have a second look at our respective constitution to ensure compliance. We thank Thornton Smith for assisting us to get over that hurdle. Our strategic focus this quadrennial provided the extra push that non team sport athletes have been looking for in prior years, with significant financial support by way of individual scholarships going to athletes from athletics, swimming, squash, skiing and sailing.

DIVISION I WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS RECORDS BOOK 2015 Championships 2 History 5 All-Time Team Results 8 2015 CHAMPIONSHIPS HIGHLIGHTS New Mexico women win first Cross Country nation championship: The Lobos' motto this week was, "Expect Nothing, Achieve Everything." On Saturday, they did just that. Behind one of the most dominating performances in NCAA history, the No. 1 University of New Mexico women's cross country team won its first national title Saturday at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. The Lobo women, competing in their 10th-ever NCAA Championship, placed all five of their scorers in the top 25 at E.P. 'Tom' Sawyer State Park in Louisville and combined to score 49 points, the lowest team score by any team since 1982. "It's a great day," New Mexico head coach Joe Franklin said. "Super excited for the women. They're going to remember this for the rest of their lives and that's really special." The Lobos' championship is the second NCAA title in University of New Mexico history, joining the New Mexico skiing's NCAA title in 2004. It's the fourth NCAA women's cross country title in Mountain West history. "It's amazing," senior Courtney Frerichs said after the race. Long deemed the prohibitive favorite after assembling its talented squad of runners, the Lobos lived up to their reputation, running through the 31-team field to an 80-point victory over runner-up Colorado. New Mexico's margin of victory is the fifth-largest in NCAA history and the best since 2004.
