Freedom of Information Request 2012/15324 Freedom of Information Request 2012/15324 Q1. The names of any organisation within your constabulary area acting as a third party hate crime reporting centre Q2. The postcodes of any organisation within your constabulary area acting as a third party hate crime reporting centre Q3. The contact details of any organisation within your constabulary area acting as a third party hate crime reporting centre Gwent Police uses several Third Party Hate Crime Reporting mechanisms, including the True Vision, SaferWales and SaferNewport systems. True Vision is a web based only system which is nationwide but refers local reports direct to Gwent. Reports are made at www.report-it.org.uk/home. SaferNewport is a Newport specific scheme that is administered by South East Wales Regional Equality Council (St David's House, 137 Commercial Street, Newport, NP20 1LN). Reports to SaferNewport can be made either online at www.newporthatecrime.co.uk, or via a form which is made available at local community venues – libraries, doctor’s surgeries, further education centres etc. SaferWales is an All Wales third party hate crime reporting system which is used by all of the Welsh Police Forces. Similarly, reports can be made online at www.saferwales.com or a form completed which again has been made available at a range of community venues. SaferWales is a registered charity, based at Fourth Floor East, 113-116 Bute Street, Cardiff, CF10 5EQ. As well as the above, Gwent Police has also established a number of Third Party Hate Crime Reporting Centres specifically for people with learning disabilities. These ‘Talk About It’ centres are listed below. It states: “That the Council will only retain or acquire properties that are sufficient, suitable and sustainable in the delivery of its corporate plan priorities and will prioritise the use of its capital and revenue budgets accordingly. Property resources that are surplus to, unsuitable or unsustainable in the delivery of Corporate Plan priorities will be considered for disposal at best consideration”. 1.2 Whilst this policy relates to Council owned buildings and land it is deemed appropriate and good practice to include the highway assets that Torfaen County Borough Council maintain in its role as a Highway Authority. To ensure that the Council apply the same principles to both assets the following Highway Asset Management Policy is to be placed before the Torfaen County Borough Council Cabinet in 2019.

A new vehicular driveway/access off Maendy Way also forms part of this proposal. The regulations require that consultees must be given at least 42 days to respond to the document, with at least 20 of these being school days. Taking this into account, the consultation period will begin with the issue of this letter (24th February 2020), and will close on Monday 6th April 2020. Any comments/observations on the proposal can be made: By writing to the Chief Officer, Education & Lead Director for Children and Young People (FAO Mark Horton) c/o Torfaen County Borough Council, Civic Centre, Pontypool, Torfaen NP4 6YB.
