ATCIC’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) service area provides services that help individuals and their families choose and access quality and cost-efficient services and supports. Through custom case management and service coordination, we work to best meet your unique needs and preferences. This is accomplished through an extensive network of private and public agencies in Austin and Travis County. IDD services are available to all residents in Travis County who quality. Services through IDD: Employment, Home Health, Individual Support, In-Home and Family Support, Intake and Eligibility Determination, Residential Support, Service Coordination, Waiver Enrollment/Interest List Management, Support Groups and Consumer Benefits Office. Service Coordination is available for individuals with intellectual disabilities (mental retardation) and/or autism or pervasive development disorder, who is Travis County residents or individuals who are enrolled in Texas Home Living Waiver or Home and Community-Based Services Waiver. 2. Services to infants (ages 0-3) with developmental delays or a medical condition that might cause developmental delays are provided in Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Lee and Williamson Counties through Bluebonnet Trails’ early childhood intervention program, known as PRIDE (Parent Resources for Infant Developmental Enrichment). Drug and Alcohol information, education and treatment can be found through the OSAR program. 3. We work with the individual to identify disability-related barriers to employment and then provide services to help reduce and eliminate those barriers. One part of our VR program is Transition, in which we provide services to students who are transitioning out of high school and will need services to plan for, obtain and maintain employment. 6. Depending upon their goals and needs, DBS offers services to help regain independence or find a job. DBS staff work in partnership with Texans who are blind or visually impaired to get high quality jobs, live independently, or help a child receive the training needed to be successful in school and beyond. DBS envisions a Texas where people who are blind or visually impaired enjoy the same opportunities as other Texans to pursue independence and employment, and our mission is to work in partnership with Texans who are blind or visually impaired to reach their goals. 7. The Golden Hat Foundation believes that despite the behaviors and communication difficulties of people with autism, we should assume intelligence first and then find ways to access it. People with autism are different, but they have unique strengths, perceptions, and talents that deserve recognition and respect. People with autism should be given the means to learn to communicate and they should have access to an appropriate academic education, social supports and job training based on their abilities. 12.
