Ann & Roy Butler Hike 24 hours The iconic waterfront path in the heart of is a & Bike Trail and crushed granite and concrete boardwalk loop with distances of up to Boardwalk 10 miles. Stretching from Longhorn Dam in the Holly Neighborhood Access at Waller Creek to the east to the MOPAC bridge to the west, it meanders along the Boathouse water’s edge and passes by skyscrapers, neighborhoods, ball fields, Zilker Park, Vic Mathias (Auditorium) Shores, and cultural attractions (like the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue).

Zilker Park Sunrise - Sunset Zilker Metropolitan Park is considered "Austin's most-loved park." 2100 This 351-acre park is a downtown haven for families and adventurers Road of all ages. The giant playscape, Greenbelt Trail, disc golf course, volleyball courts, and full-service picnic areas are all very popular year-round. The park is also the home of , Zilker Botanical Gardens, and Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum.

Zilker Botanical 9AM-5PM Located in the northwestern corner of Zilker Park, the gardens Gardens Daily include several displays of local flora, a children’s garden, Japanese 2200 Barton Springs garden, Pioneer Village display, historical artifacts, trails, seasonal Road (Zilker Park) displays, and more. They are closed for major holidays and events in the Park (ACL Fest, Kite Fest, etc).

Barton Creek Greenbelt Sunrise – The Greenbelt is a 7.25-mile (11.67 km) stretch of public land that Trail Sunset begins at Zilker Park and stretches South/Southwest to the final Zilker Park Trail Head Daily section commonly referred to as "The Hill of Life" It is famous for the sheer limestone cliff walls, dense lush vegetation, and popular swimming areas. Mount Bonnell 5AM – 10PM overlooks and the 360 Bridge for 3800 Mt. Bonnell Road Daily Instagram-worthy photos. It is an Austin tradition for romantic picnics and proposals.

Lady Bird Johnson 9AM – 5PM A major botanic garden and research unit of The University of Texas Wildflower Center Daily at Austin, founded by the late First Lady in 1982. The Center’s 4801 La Crosse Avenue gardens, natural areas and arboretum display more than 800 species of native plants from many of the major ecoregions of Texas

Vic Mathias Auditorium 24 Hours One mile from the Fairmont, on the South Side of is Shores one of Austin’s most popular parks. It is the location of a 4.5 Acre 800 W Riverside Drive Off-Leash Dog Park, the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue, Brent Grulke Plaza, and lots of green space dotted with sculptures. It is intersected by the Ann & Roy Butler Hike & Bike Trail and Boardwalk and frequently hosts large events like SXSW Public Concerts and Reggae Fest.

Congress Avenue Bat 24 Hours The largest urban bat colony in North America (750,000 - 1.5 million Bridge Mexican free-tailed bats) fly out from under the bridge and head Ann W. Richards Eastward over the at dusk each night from March- Congress Avenue November. The observation area at the hike and bike on this side of Bridge the river is my recommended vantage point.

Canoes / Kayaks & SUPs LOCATION HOURS ABOUT

Austin Rowing Club Fri, Sat & Sun They are in the building at the end of Trinity Street, 6 blocks from the 74 Trinity St, 9AM-5:30PM Fairmont. First-timers and experienced paddlers are accommodated Austin, TX 78701 for kayaks, canoes, and Standup Paddleboards on Lady Bird Lake in Downtown Austin. Guided tours are also available with a reservation.

Capital Cruises 10AM – 5PM In addition to the big cruisers, they also have people-powered boats. 208 Barton Springs Daily Canoes are $15/hour, Single Kayaks are $10/hour, Double Kayaks are Road (Hyatt Regency $15/hour, SUPs are $15/one hour or $25/two hours, and the kitschy Hotel) Swan Pedal boat is $15/hour.

Zilker Park Boat Rentals 10AM – Zilker Park Boat Rentals, located just downstream from Barton 2100 Barton Springs 4:30PM Springs Swimming Pool, offers kayak rentals, canoe rentals and stand Road Daily up kayak rentals. Rates are $18/hour or $54/day and they only accept cash for payment. A picture ID is required for all boat rentals. Dogs are welcome (bring your own doggie life jacket).

Texas Rowing Center 6AM-5PM Located on the north shore of Lady Bird Lake across from Austin High 1541 W Cesar Chavez Daily School. They are an Austin Parks and Recreation Department Street concession. Paddleboards are $20/hour or $45/day. Kayaks are $15/hour or $35/day. Canoes are $25/hour or $55/day.

Live Love Paddle Sat / Sun They offer kayak and paddle board rentals on Lady Bird Lake with an 1610 E. Riverside Drive 10AM-5PM emphasis on Austin Congress Bridge Bat Tours, Urban Kayaking Tour Friday / Mon of Downtown Austin, Austin Full Moon Kayak Tours, and corporate 11AM – 5PM team building activities. All rentals come with personal flotation devices. Rates are $15-$25 per hour.

Capital Cruises 9AM – 9PM Their all-electric boat fleet offers regular sightseeing, dinner, 208 Barton Springs moonlight, and bat-watching cruises, on Lady Bird Lake. Regular Road (Hyatt Regency public sightseeing and sunset tours are $10/adults, $8/seniors, Hotel) $5/children. The boats can also be chartered with or without a captain.

Lone Star Riverboat 10AM – 6PM Daily one-hour Bat Watching Sunset Cruises. The Lone Star Friday 208 Barton Springs Night Moonlight Cruise and The Lone Star Weekend Afternoon Road (Hyatt Regency Sightseeing Cruises are available every Friday night at 10:30PM and Hotel) weekend at 3:00PM. Tickets are $12/Adults, $8/Seniors, $7/Kids 2- 12. All tours are BYOB, and Reservations are highly recommended.

Retro Boat Rentals 9:30AM-5PM Located just 6 blocks from the Fairmont their fleet of meticulously Waller Creek Daily maintained and rare classic fiberglass runabout boats from the jet- Boathouse age era (1958-1963), have been made available for everyone to enjoy 74 Trinity St, Austin TX and take out on the beautiful waterways of Lady Bird Lake. Their Tritoons combine the ease of pontoon boats with the power to pull wakeboards. All the Pontoons/Tritoons come with stereos and seating for large groups. Bikes & Segways LOCATION HOURS ABOUT

Austin Bike Tours & Fri-Sun Bike rentals and bike tours tailored to guest desires – day long, sites, Rentals 9AM- 5PM historic districts, craft beer. All rentals come with lights, lock, and 102 1/2 W 3rd Street helmet. Keith and the team will also provide a bike that is appropriately-sized for each rider. Their regular tours cover 7-9 miles and are appropriate for riders of all levels.

Barton Springs Bike 9AM – 6PM Rentals from one hour to all-day or weekly. All rentals come with Rental and Tours Daily helmet, lock, lights, basket, and roadside assistance. Guided tours 1707 Barton Springs include “Peace and Love Zilker” ($39, 1.5 hours), Austin in a Nutshell Rd, Austin, TX 78704 ($49, 2 hours) and their “Electric Bike Tour” ($69, 2.5-3 hours)

Austin MetroBike Bike 24 hours Austin MetroBike is a bike sharing service with a network of 24/7 on- Share demand bicycle stations throughout downtown. The Weekender Multiple stations all Pass, which includes 3 days’ access is $20, and 24-hour access is $13. around Central Austin 24-hour and 3-day access pass holders swipe the credit card they used to purchase the pass at the station kiosk to check out a bike. When you are done riding, return your bike to any station in the system and push it into any empty dock in the station.

Lions Municipal Golf 7AM – 6PM Lions Municipal Golf Course has been one of the City's most popular Course public 18-hole courses since 1934. Lions has hosted many notable 2901 Enfield Road golfers, including Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Tom Kite and Ben Crenshaw. Reservations are taken starting at 7:00 am in person or by phone at (512) 477-6963. Tee times for weekdays are taken seven days in advance; Saturday and Sunday times are taken on the Tuesday before the weekend. You can also book your tee time online.

Roy Kizer Golf Course 7AM – 6PM The Roy Kizer Golf Course is a links-style layout spread over 200 acres 5400 Jimmy Clay Drive in Southeast Austin. With 35 acres of lakes and 22 acres of wetlands, the golf course offers residency to migratory waterfowl in the area and is a beautiful track for all skill levels. It is part of a 36-hole complex along with the Jimmy Clay Golf Course that is considered one of the finest public courses in Texas. Myrna Meza, the restaurant values their homemade recipes and welcoming everyone like family.

Grey Rock Golf Club 7AM-5:30PM Grey Rock is a sort of public/private hybrid. It is owned by the City of 7401 Highway 45 Austin, but offers additional privileges, programs, and amenities for Members. "Non-•Members" may book tee times 7 days in advance with a major credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Discover). Cancellations required at least 24 hours in advance of your tee time to avoid a charge. Rates range from $30 to $70, depending on time and date.

Falconhead Golf Club 7AM-7PM Falconhead Golf Club opened in 2003, an incredible addition to 15201 Falcon Head Austin golf. Laid out by the experts from the PGA Tour Design Center, Blvd their public daily-fee course offers golfers a taste of the quality golf that pro players contend on in one of the most beautiful areas of Texas, the rolling terrain of the Central in and around Austin.

Wolfdancer Golf Club 7AM-5PM Situated at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa, Wolfdancer Golf 575 Hyatt Lost Pines Club is an award-winning golf course 25 miles east of the Fairmont. Peter Pan Mini Golf 10AM-10PM An Austin icon since 1948. Fun for all ages. Two 18-hole courses 1207 Barton Springs Sun-Thurs. filled with a variety of characters, obstacles, and surprises. The park is a place for families and people of all ages to spend a great day or evening, Austin style.

Inner Space Cavern 9AM – 5PM One of 7 “show caves” in Central Texas, Inner Space Cavern was 4200 S Interstate 35, Mon-Fri formed 25 million years ago. Exploring the cave is fun in year-round Georgetown 10AM – 5PM 72 degrees, but there is no access for strollers or wheelchairs. They Sat/Sun have regular Adventure Tours leaving every 20-30 minutes, suitable for all ages. The slightly more challenging Hidden Passages Tour (Ages 7+) and Wild Cave Tour (Ages 13+) are available by appointment.

Located on the southwest edge of Austin, Austin Zoo is a pleasant Hill Country zoo that started life as the Good Day Ranch. Texas Trail Rides 10AM-4PM Texas Trail Rides offers a variety of exciting Ranch Adventures and At Lone Star Ranch beautiful Ranch Venues perfect for Companies, Families, Couples and 8601 Bluff Springs Rd Groups. They offer safe, family friendly, horseback trail rides, equine excursions, and skeet shooting. By reservations only.

Bob Bullock Texas 10AM – 5PM Three floors of expansive exhibition space showcasing continually History Museum Wed-Sun updated original artifacts, special exhibitions, feature films at the 1800 Congress Avenue iMax and Texas Spirit theaters, live music events, and family-friendly showcases. Blanton Museum of Art 10AM-1PM The Blanton is part of the UT College of Fine Arts and one of the 200 E Martin Luther 2PM-5PM foremost university art museums in the country. The permanent King Junior Boulevard Wed-Sat collection spans Pre-Colombian to Post-Modern works, highlighted 2PM-5PM by Ellsworth Kelly’s Chapel. Umlauf Sculpture 10AM – 4PM The Umlauf exhibits the work of Charles Umlauf and other Garden Tues-Fri contemporary sculptors in a natural shady garden of native Texas 605 Robert E. Lee Road 11AM-4PM plants near Barton Springs. The xeriscape garden, with its waterfall Sat/Sun and streams muffling the sounds of traffic, is a uniquely Austin experience for the whole family. Currently limiting capacity to 75 guests at a time.

The Contemporary 9AM-12PM ’s outdoor site is named the Betty and Austin - Thu/Fri Edward Marcus Sculpture Park at Laguna Gloria. Austin Overtures 7:30AM- AO Tours offers several wonderful sightseeing tours of Austin and the Austin Visitor’s Center 8:30PM surrounding areas. One tour option is The “Austin + Hill Country in 90 602 E 4th Street Daily Minutes” which covers 30 miles of central Austin and the Texas Hill Country. There are no stops to get out, but it is a great overview.

Austin Duck 10AM-3:30PM An amphibious tour of downtown and Lake Austin is a big hit with Adventures Daily families. 75 minutes of sightseeing that includes Historic Sixth Street, Austin Visitor’s Center the State Capitol Building, Bob Bullock State History Museum, the 602 E 4th Street Governor’s Mansion, and Lake Austin. Austin Ghost Tours 8PM Austin Ghost Tours began walking the streets and telling the stories Tours begin in the Thu-Sun of downtown Austin over 20 years ago.
