The new clinic, located inside the Tooele County Health Department on 151 N. Main St. in Tooele, was created to serve the high number of individuals in Tooele County who cannot afford dental treatment from a regular den- tist. It is expected that eligible patients will generally be low-income, without dental insurance, underinsured, or on Medicaid or Medicare. Local dentist Dr. Mike Wells, who will be volunteering at the clinic, said smaller materials such as drills and other equipment still need to be collected before the clinic can open next month. The clinic itself is expected to operate much like the health department’s Healthy Smiles Project did two years ago, but it will be located in the health department build- ing and include newer dental equipment. It will feature a number of local dentists — all of whom will volunteer their time — providing care to eligible individuals. “In a way, this dental clinic will be a completely new thing, and it will feature dedicated volunteers and a more equipped facility than what we had for the Healthy Smiles Project,” Wells said. Relief Services Coordinator Karen Kuipers said the clinic will be a big help for low-income residents in Tooele County who can’t afford dental care and have photography / Troy Boman nowhere to go locally for treatment. This clinic will serve as an alternative to the emergency room, as well as a place for those who are not getting preventive care, which could lead to an emergency issue for them.” Christmas together this year Kuipers said the clinic will not compete with private by Sarah Miley spread all over his abdominal wall and into dentists. • Tyler Perry – the Trailblazer Award Waco Theater Center, 2019
TYLER PERRY – THE TRAILBLAZER AWARD WACO THEATER CENTER, 2019 On Saturday, June 1, 2019, actor, playwright and filmmaker Tyler Perry will receive The Trailblazer Award at WACO Theater Center’s Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles. Perry’s inspirational journey from the hard streets of New Orleans to the heights of Hollywood's A-list is the stuff of American legend. Born into poverty and raised in a household scarred by abuse, Perry fought from a young age to find the strength, faith and perseverance that would later form the foundations of his much-acclaimed plays, films, books and shows. It was a simple piece of advice from Oprah Winfrey that set Perry's career in motion. Encouraged to keep a diary of his daily thoughts and experiences, he began writing a series of soul-searching letters to himself. The letters, full of pain and in time, forgiveness, became a healing catharsis. His writing inspired a musical, I Know I've Been Changed, and in 1992, Perry gathered his life's savings in hopes of staging it for sold out crowds. He spent all the money but the people never came, and Perry once again came face to face with the poverty that had plagued his youth. He spent months sleeping in seedy motels and his car but his faith - in God and, in turn, himself - only got stronger. He forged a powerful relationship with the church, and kept writing. In 1998 his perseverance paid off and a promoter booked I Know I've Been Changed for a limited run at a local church-turned-theatre.

  • Duality and Reflections in Stephen King's Writers Alexis Hitchcock
ABSTRACT A Dark Mirror: Duality and Reflections in Stephen King's Writers Alexis Hitchcock Director: Dr. Lynne Hinojosa, Ph.D. Stephen King is well known for popular horror fiction but has recently been addressed more thoroughly by literary critics. While most studies focus on horror themes and the relationships between various characters, this thesis explores the importance of the author characters in three works by Stephen King: Misery, The Dark Half, and The Shining. The introduction gives a background of Stephen King as an author of popular horror fiction and discusses two themes that are connected to his author characters: doppelgängers and duality, and the idea of the death of the author. The death of the author is the idea that an author's biography should not affect the interpretation of a text. Implicit in this idea is the notion that the separation of an author from his work makes the text more literary and serious. The second chapter on Misery explores the relationship between the author and the readership or fans and discusses Stephen King’s divide caused by his split between his talent as an author of popular fiction and a desire to be a writer of literary fiction. The third chapter concerning The Dark Half explores Stephen King’s use of the pseudonym Richard Bachman and the splitting this created within himself and the main character of his novel. The last chapter includes discussion of The Shining and the author character’s split in personality caused by alcohol and supernatural sources. Studying the author characters and their doppelgängers reveals the unique stance King takes on the “death of the author” idea and shows how he represents the splitting of the self within his works.

The Truth About the Entertainment Industry - #HollywoodRituals Aug. 27, 2020 Syndicated Columnist www.CathyHarrisInternational.com As a Syndicated Columnist and Investigative Reporter, I loved writing and researching at an early age. My current topic that I have been working on for two months – #HollywoodTrangenderAgenda, has to be the hardest topic that I ever reported on. Others reporting on the topic seem to have a lot of hatred and disrespect while trying to educate others. That is definitely not what I want to attract in my life so I have ended my research on this topic with this post. I have tried my best to be as sensitive as possible when reporting on this topic and I do apologize up-front if I have offended anyone. I Am Glad I Am Not Famous I came close to being famous when I blew the whistle on my job (www.TheCathyHarrisStory.com) and appeared on Oprah’s Oxygen Channel. During this time, I was contacted by Queen Latifah people’s twice to try to get me on her show to tell about the humiliation of black women who travel in and out of this country. I am so glad my life steered me in another direction and kept me on track. Again, in order to be RICH and FAMOUS, Hollywood (aka “The Entertainment Industry”) forces you to live with the same sex person or become inverted by changing your sex, raise inverted kids (raise girls as boys and boys as girls), and now they are attempting to legalize pedophilia and this is indeed a #HollywoodRitual.
