Speed Limits) Order 20** OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (CUXHAM WITH EASINGTON PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20** NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - due to road safety concerns raised by the Parish Council - is to initially introduce a ‘signed only’ (phase 1) 20mph speed limit throughout Cuxham village. The existing 30mph area will be reduced except on the un-named road to Brightwell Baldwin west & east of the junction with Turners Green Lane. Depending on the results of phase 1, a second phase of the scheme would see traffic calming measures being introduced as a trial to accompany the signed limit to create a ‘zone’, and these would comprise of the following measures: Trial Planters to be located approximately*: • B480 o at the speed limit terminal point 130 metres north of the un- named Road to Brightwell Baldwin o at the junction with the B480 & the un-named road to Brightwell Baldwin, o east of the access to ‘The Old Rectory’, reducing the road width to 5 metres, o outside ‘The Thatch’, reducing the road width to 4 metres, o outside ‘Brightwell Cottage’, reducing the road with to 5 metres, o outside ‘Merton Cottage’, reducing the road width to 5 metres, and o at the speed limit terminal point at the eastern edge of the village. • Un-named Road to Brightwell Baldwin o At the terminal point 161 metres southwest of the B480. Trial White Posts to be located approximately*: • B480 o outside ‘Kimble Cottage’, to highlight road corner o opposite ‘Yew Tree Cottage’, to warn drivers of bend, and o outside ‘Mill View’, to protect parked vehicles and reduce width of carriageway. Additionally, the road space immediately outside the Public House will be utilised, effectively reducing the road width to 4.8 metres. * note: The exact position of the traffic calming features can be adjusted following on site discussion with the Parish Council & local residents. The Oxfordshire County Council (Restricted Roads) (Cuxham with Easington Parish) Order 1999 will be revoked/replaced. Documents giving more details of the proposals are available for public inspection online by visiting: https://consultations.oxfordshire.gov.uk. Copies may be made available on request. Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the 13 August 2021. The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is the Sponsor of a proposed change to the current arrangements and procedures in the immediate airspace surrounding the airport. As the airport operators, and operators of the current Class D Controlled Airspace (CAS), RAF Brize Norton is managing this process on behalf of the MOD. If approved, the proposed change will provide enhanced protection to aircraft on the critical stages of flight in departure and final approach, and will provide connectivity between the RAF Brize Norton Control Zone (CTR) and the UK Airways network.     Guidance for the completion of rate relief applications under Local Government Finance and Rating Act 1997 rural rate relief These notes are aimed to assist you in completing the enclosed application form for rural rate relief. The scheme - there are two parts to the scheme. The first is a mandatory relief scheme that allows 100 per cent relief from rate liability from 1 April 2017. This can be awarded to the only post office, the only general store, the only public house, the only petrol filling station, or a food shop in a ‘designated rural settlement’ with a population not exceeding 3,000. The rateable value of the property at the beginning of the rating year must not exceed a specified amount. For post offices, general stores and food shops the rateable value must be no more than £8,500, whilst for public houses and petrol filling stations the rateable value must be no more than £12,500. The second part is a discretionary relief scheme. The Council may award up to 100 per cent discretionary relief, to any small rural business which is situated in a ‘designated rural settlement’, if the rateable value does not exceed £16,500. The Council has to be satisfied that the business is of benefit to the local community and that it is reasonable to award relief given the cost to the council taxpayers of the district. Definitions A post office is within the meaning of the Post Office Act 1953. A sole general store must sell food for human consumption (not just confectionery) and general household goods.

    OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (STADHAMPTON - CHALGROVE AREAS) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2020 The Oxfordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to that Act hereby makes the following Order. 1. This Order may be cited as the Oxfordshire County Council (Stadhampton - Chalgrove Areas) (Speed Limits) Order 2020 and shall come into force on the sixth day of July 2020. 2. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour in any of the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this Order. 3. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour in any of the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this Order. 4. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour in the length of road specified in Schedule 3 to this Order. 5. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to a vehicle falling within Regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011, being a vehicle used for naval, military or air force purposes, when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those regulations. 6.
