PIVOTING MAIN SANDING UNIT:
e Th main sanding unit is a patented construction of KÜNDIG.
No height adjustment of the working tables is required when pivoting the patented sanding unit.
The angle of inclination of the sanding unit adjustable from 90° to 45° (motor driven) and is displayed on a corresponding scale.

The „auxiliary in-feed stop 45°“ (optional) can be mounted at the in-feed fence for perfect sanding of chamfers with the main sanding unit in its 45° position.

OSCILLATION
e Th entire sanding unit oscillates. Individually programmable oscillation stroke from 0 – 90 mm (0 – 3,5“). Full utilisation of abrasive belt and graphite pad thanks to programable oscillation of the entire sanding unit. Pivoting of the sanding unit does not affect oscillation trace and range. The oscillation is driven by a separate motor.

SANDING WITHOUT OSCILLATION: By pressing the 'up' and 'down' buttons together, the oscillation movement is switched off. In this state, the position of the unit can be changed by pressing the 'up' or 'down' key. Pressing the 'up' and 'down' keys together once again reactivates the oscillation.
MANUAL ADJUSTMENT OF OSCILLATION: By pressing the 'up' or 'down' button during oscillation, the unit can be moved manually. This briefly interrupts the current oscillation. After releasing the button, the sanding unit continues with the remaining stroke of the oscillation movement. If one of the end-position switches is activated while moving on, the movement is reversed, but the preselected oscillation stroke is maintained.
PROGRAMMING OF OSCILLATION: 1. After pressing the green 'Start sanding belt' button for approx. 3 sec. it starts to flash and signals that the control is in 'Program Mode‘. At the same time, the oscillation movement stops.
2. By briefly pressing the 'up' key repeatedly, the desired oscillation stroke is increased. Each press of the 4 button corresponds to an extension of the oscillation stroke by 10 mm ( /10“) up to maximum 90 mm (3.5“).
3. Pressing the 'down' button briefly and repeatedly shortens the oscillation stroke. Each press of the button 4 4 corresponds to a shortening of the oscillation stroke by 10 mm ( /10“) up to the minimum of 10 mm ( /10“).
4. After changing the oscillation stroke, pressing the green 'Start sanding belt' button (the button stops flashing) will apply the changes and make the machine go back into oscillation mode. page 7 Uniq-S
1st. SANDING STATION:
„VENEER-STATION with integrated FEEDING SYSTEM“
At the "VENEER - STATION" it is possible to calibrate or finish solid and veneered edges along the 2 guide fences and the sanding pad. The workpieces can be processed manually or with the highly efficient machine frame integrated feeding system. Thanks to the main sanding unit‘s pivoting feature the precise sanding of chamfers (manually or automated) is possible. The in-feed fence is finely adjustable for a precise and controlled stock removal. 4 Stock removal scale: 0.1 mm ( /1000“). The in-feed fence is grooved for sanding of workpieces with an excess length of veneer. The in-feed fence features ‚built-in‘ dust extraction slots. The sanding pad can be adjusted according to the selected abrasive grit. „0-levelling“ of the in-feed fence & sanding pad & out-feed fence. The entire sanding unit oscillates as opposed to just the sanding belt. The sanding belt runs over a graphite cloth with cooling properties. Working height: 915 mm ( 36“). Table dimension: 320 mm x 1200 mm (12.6“ x 47.2“).

1st. SANDING STATION:
„VENEER-STATION with integrated FEEDING SYSTEM“
The "VENEER - STATION" is equipped with a highly efficient feeding system which is integrated in the machine frame. Standard Execution: One 50 mm (2") wide transportation belt in the machine body and 20 mm (1") wide pressure rollers from the top convey the workpieces. Comfort Execution: Two 50 mm (2") wide transportation belts in the machine body and 20 mm (1") wide pressure rollers from the top convey the workpieces. The unique feeding system can efficiently transport very long, wide and also heavy workpieces. The feeding system allows to feed very short or narrow workpieces as well. 2 eccentrically adjustable inlet stops support the feeding of very long workpieces. The feed speed is steplessly adjustable; 3 - 15 m/min (9 - 45 FPM); Feed motor 0.55 kW (0.75 HP).
In the Comfort version, the Uniq-S has two conveyor belts at the bottom, instead of just one.

2nd. SANDING STATION:
„WOOD-STATION“
The "WOOD - STATION" is best used for sanding of straight workpiece edges and outer curves. The entire sanding unit complete with the abrasive belt oscillates and the sanding belt runs over a graphite cloth with cooling properties. The "WOOD - STATION" - table is equipped with a bevelling fence with scale. Working height: 840 mm ( 33“). Table dimension: 320 mm x 1200 mm (12.6“ x 47.2“).

„FRONTAL-STATION“
The „FRONTAL – STATION“ features the quickly adjustable „half round table“. At this station it's possible to sand wider inner roundings of workpieces against the rubberized belt driving roller of the main sanding unit. 4th. SANDING STATION:
„DRIVE-ROLLER-STATION (optional)“
The "DRIVE - ROLLER - STATION" is an optionally available sanding station. This station allows sanding of different diameters of inner curves and roundings. For this additional sanding station the machine must be equipped with the quickly mountable auxiliary „cast iron table“. The auxiliary „cast iron table“ features holes for dust extraction. The oscillating mandrel can be configurated with sanding bobbins: 1 25 mm (1,0"), 30 mm ( /2"), 40 mm (1.6"), 45 mm (1.8") x 100 mm (4"). ∅Table dimension∅of the auxiliary∅„cast iron table∅“ is 400 x 500 mm (15.8" x 19.7").
