After the accident, the Government of Nepal constituted an Aircraft Accident Investigation Commission on 12th March 2018, as per the provision of the Civil Aviation (Accident Investigation) Regulation, 2014 (2071 BS), to determine the cause and the circumstances of the accident. The Commission conducted the investigation based on the principles of ICAO Annex 13. This Final Report on the accident has been prepared by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Commission in accordance with Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and Civil Aviation (Accident Investigation) Regulation, 2014 (2071 BS) to identify the probable cause of the accident and suggest remedial measures so as to prevent the recurrence of such accidents in future. The commission was also assisted by Accredited Representative Capt Salahuddin M Rahmatullah from Bangladesh, as a state of operator and Registration and Nora Valle from Canada, as a state of Design and Manufacturer.

The data was collected by reviewing different sources from Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Bureau of Aircraft Accident Achieves (B3A), World Bird-Strike Association (WBA) and qualitative approach articles/newspaper/ interviews. Finally, this paper enhances safety measures to be taken by CAAN, obligation to investigate accidents with professional method of detection with prevention of such accidents in the near and the distance future from hull losses-hull fatalities to be enshrined regulators of ICAO and EASA.
