It is a very simple process, and Walk Marshals will be on hand to show you what to do.

Everyone checking in will be given a Walk the World wrist band that can be used at the after party to claim food and drink.

Starting Instructions The check-in and starting point for the 10km walk is at the Informa office at 5 Howick Place. Registration will take place in the Café in the office on the second floor. The 5 Howick Place office is close to both St James and Victoria tube stations and Victoria Overground Station. Check-in is from 15.00 to 15.30.

Route Guide • On exiting 5HP, turn right and walk along Howick Place to the end of the road • Turn right along Artillery Row and walk past Vital and the Greencoat Boy Pub, follow the road around before turn- ing right at the roundabout down Rochester Row • Continue down Rochester Row past the turning into Rochester Street before turning left into Vincent Square, where there are some large school playing fields • Walk around Vincent Square keeping to the left, across to the opposite far corner and then follow Douglas Street Q1 • At the end of Douglas Street, turn right into Regency Street and walk to the end to join the major road, Vauxhall Bridge Road • Turn left and walk along Vauxhall Bridge Road towards Vauxhall Bridge. !!! Avoid walking in cycle lanes • !!! This is a busy road. Cross over the traffic lights and onto Vauxhall Bridge. Stay on the left hand side of the bridge, walking in the same direction as the traffic, towards the MI6 building on the other side • Once you have crossed the bridge, take the steps immediately on the left down to the Thames Path by the river in front of the MI6 building. • Follow the Thames Path in front of the MI6 building and follow it in front of the next building along Q2 • Keep following the Thames Path all the way along past the Lard Basaveshawara statue, past Tamesis Dock • Keep on the Thames Path going under Lambeth Bridge, past Thames Cruises and in front of St Thomas’ Hospital • Shortly after St Thomas’ Hospital, you will see Westminster Bridge, with the Houses of Parliament in full view on the opposite side of the Thames • Walk under Westminster Bridge and then go immediately up the steps and onto the bridge on the far side of the road. • On the other side of Westminster Bridge, immediately take the steps down to the right to join the Thames Path staying as close to the river as you can. This takes you in front of Cathedral and past the Mudlark Pub on the north side of the river WM • Follow the path and road under Bridge where it becomes Tooley Street WM • Follow the path past Westminster Pier, the Battle of Britain Memorial and the Royal Air Force Memorial • Take the passage on the left (St Olaf Stairs), under the buildings to return to the Thames Path right beside the Q3 river and turn right towards Tower Bridge • Keep going along the Thames Path, past the Tattershall Castle pub, approaching the two Golden Jubilee Bridges • Follow the Thames Path past City Pier, Hays Galleria and the Horniman Pub that are separated by a third railway bridge • Continue past the HMS Belfast, past the Ernst & Young office, table tennis tables and Strada until you reach The • Walk under all three bridges to the other side and cross the road at the traffic lights where the entry to Embank- Scoop besides City Hall ment Station is WM Q9 • Walk up the steps on the left and onto the Golden Jubilee Bridge and walk over the river towards the Southbank • Continue past Potters Field Park towards Tower Bridge.
