Description: Nanjing Audit University (NAU), founded in 1983, has more than sixteen thousand full time students. NAU is ranked 45th in based on the average entrance score of the National College Entrance Exams. The NAU main campus in Pukou, Nanjing is often referred as “the most beautiful new campus” in China. The newly established research Institute of Urban Development (IUD) at NAU seeks to hire multiple full-time faculties, starting in August 2017. Both ranks and fields are open. Candidates in the following fields are particularly encouraged to apply: public , urban and regional economics, labor economics, energy and environmental economics, and health economics. Applicants must complete PhD degree by August 2017.

IUD is a primary research center and aims to promote high quality of research in all fields relevant to urban development. Preference will be given to those with a demonstrated potential of high-quality publications in refereed international English journals.

Compensation is competitive. The initial appointment will be for three years with a starting annual salary of 400,000 RMB or higher, depending on qualifications. Other benefits include publication bonuses, a research fund up to 800,000 RMB, and a two-bedroom on-campus apartment. Upon successfully completion of the first term, new contracts can be renewed on a three-year basis.

The first round interviews will be conducted at the 2017 ASSA meeting in Chicago, and application deadline for the first round interviews is December 1, 2016. Future interviews may be conducted, such as at the CES North America conference in March 2017.
