This meeting is being facilitated through an online zoom format, consistent with the Governor’s Executive Order N25-20, suspending certain open meeting law restrictions.

I. Called to order at 12:34 p.m. by Blake Anger, Chairperson

II. III. Approval of Agenda – Action Item *M/Omega Phi Chi Multicultural Sorority, S/Anthropology Club to approve agenda with added agenda items. VOTE: UNANIMOUS, MOTION CARRIES

IV. Approval of Minutes (April 17, 2020) – Action Item *M/Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity, S/Anthropology Club to approve minutes as submitted, VOTE: UNANIMOUS, MOTION CARRIES

V. Open Forum –Agenda Items Only Time for the members of the audience to address the Commission on specific agenda items only. None.

VI. Unfinished Business A. Pre-Occupational Therapy – Action Item The Commission will discuss and consider funding for the Pre-Occupational Therapy promotional items. *M/Anthropology Club, S/Scholars United to approve $50 towards promotional t- shirts for Pre-Occupational Therapy. VOTE: UNANIMOUS, MOTION CARRIES

VII. New Business A. Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity – Action Item The Commission will discuss and consider funding Virtual Commencement Ceremony. *M/Anthropology Club, S/Omega Phi Chi Multicultural Sorority to approve $400 for Phi Kappa Theta’s Commencement Ceremony. VOTE: UNANIMOUS, MOTION CARRIES

B. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority – Action Item The Commission will discuss and consider funding a banner for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. *M/Anthropology Club, S/Omega Phi Chi Multicultural Sorority to approve $100 for Zeta Phi Beta’s professional banner. VOTE: UNANIMOUS, MOTION CARRIES

C. Mathematics Club – Action Item The Commission will discuss and consider funding a banner for Mathematics Club. *M/Male Success Alliance, S/Anthropology Club to approve $50 towards Mathematics Club’s professional banner. VOTE: UNANIMOUS, MOTION CARRIES

D. Mathematics Club – Action Item The Commission will discuss and consider funding for Mathematics Club Senior Send- Off event. *M/Male Success Alliance, S/Omega Phi Chi Multicultural Sorority to approve $497 towards Mathematics Club Senior Send-Off Virtual Event. VOTE: UNANIMOUS, MOTION CARRIES

VIII. Reports Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity is reaching out to the Organizations to plan a collaborative event. Ibarra OSL will be hosting the “DH Got Talent” virtual talent show next Thursday from 4:00-5:30pm. There will be 16 student performers, giveaways, and live DJs. Norrbom University President Parham will host a virtual Town Hall meeting for Fall 2020 planning on Tuesday, May 5 from 10:00-11:30am. Class of 2020 Grad Virtual Celebration week will take place on May 11th to May 15th on selected social media outlets. June 1st is the deadline for Credit / No Credit or Withdrawal grade options; seek academic advisement. The University is partially refunding Spring 2020 parking permits. CSUDH donated 1,500 3D printed face shields and is seeking a place to donated them to. There are links to available COVID testing center, free of charge, in Carson – reach out for more info. Quiller Remaining balance of the Orgs General Budget is $4,763.15, $950.15 for Promo Items Budget, and $3,239.93 in the Student Activities Budget; those clubs/orgs with question marks on the budget summary document are to reach out to Donisha with their plans to spend the awarded funds. Updated club points: Lambda Theta Alpha (5525), LSBA (5510), Omega Phi Chi (3230), Phi Kappa Theta (2975), Math Club (2130).

IX. Open Forum –Discussion Item Time for the members of audience to address the Commission.

The last Orgs Commission meeting of the Spring 2020 Semester is June 5th at 12:30pm Please forward virtual group activities you would be interested in participating in, for our last meeting, to Anger. If you had funds awarded and need payment processed, please contact Quiller. June 30th is the last day to honor those awarded funds.
