EEO Public File Reports and Outreach Exh for 396-Cincinnati WKRQ EEO Public File Reports The instant Schedule 396 EEO program report is being filed in connection with the Schedule 303 applications for renewal of WKRQ(FM), Cincinnati, Ohio (FIN 11276), WREW(FM), Fairfield, Ohio (FIN 73369), and WUBE-FM, Cincinnati, Ohio (FIN 10140). In addition to WKRQ(FM), WREW(FM), and WUBE-FM (with a renewal due date of June 1, 2020), the employment unit includes another commonly owned radio station licensed to a community in Kentucky (with a renewal due date of April 1, 2020): WYGY(FM), Fort Thomas, Kentucky (FIN 40915). As the employment unit consists of stations in more than one renewal group, the employment unit’s annual EEO public file reports are prepared in accordance with the Ohio stations’ renewal filing schedule. Accordingly, annual EEO public file reports covering June 1, 2018 to May 31, 2019 and June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020 are being submitted with the instant Schedule 396 EEO program report. It is noted that a Schedule 396 EEO program report was filed on March 31, 2020 in connection with the Schedule 303 application for renewal of WYGY(FM) with annual EEO public file reports covering June 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018 and June 1, 2018 to May 31, 2019 Schedule 396 EEO program report (File No. 0000110594). EEO Outreach As set forth in the EEO public file reports submitted with the instant Schedule 396, the employment unit used a variety of recruitment sources designed to inform qualified job applicants in the community of the availability of full-time vacancies at the stations, including area colleges and universities, professional and industry organizations, employment agencies, the station websites, and third-party job-related websites. The employment unit also undertook a variety of non-vacancy-specific outreach initiatives including maintaining a NextGen Leadership Program, providing FCC EEO program compliance training, maintaining an account executive mentorship program, participating in a number of job fairs and speaking engagements to educate the community and students about careers in broadcasting. .

  • Complaint for Injunctive Relief Against Combination in Violation of Section
IN THE UNITED STA TES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF OHIO UNITED STATES OF AMERICA No. Civ. C-1-96-757 (Antitrust) Plaintiff. Filed: August 5, 1996 COMPLAINT FOR INJUNCTIVE v. RELIEF AGAINST COMBINATION IN VIOLATION OF SECTION 7 OF JACOR COMMUNICATIONS. INC. and THE CLAYTON ACT CITICASTERS. INC.. Defendants. The United States of America. acting under the direction of the Attorney General of the United States. brings this civil action pursuant to section 15 of the Clayton Act. as amended 15 U.S.C. § 25. to obtain equitable relief in order to prevent and restrain a violation of section 7 of the Clayton Act. as amended 15 U.S.C. § 18, and alleges as follows: 1. The United States brings this antitrust action to prevent the proposed acquisition of Citicasters. Inc. ("Citicasters") by Jacor Communications, Inc. ("Jacor") Jacor is a large nationwide operator of radio broadcast stations that owns or sells advenising for seven stations in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. more than any other operator. Citicasters. another nationwide operator of radio broadcast stations, owns two radio stations in Cincinnati, making it the third- largest operator there. Jacor and Citicasters if combined would own or have the right to sell advertising for a total of nine stations, including seven of the thirteen top-rated stations in the Cincinnati metropolitan area based on audience share data. 2. In Cincinnati, Citicasters radio stations compete against Jacor radio stations for the business of local and national companies seeking to advertise to the Cincinnati area through radio. The acquisition, if consummated, would eliminate all the competition between these stations, resulting in many advertisers having to pay higher rates and receiving a lower quality of service.
