The Islamic End Time Beast and His Mark (The Name of Allah) The Islamic End Time Beast And his Mark (The name of Allah) Revelation 13:18 tells us that the number of the Beast is the number of a man, and its number is 666 (According to English Bible Versions). It is better translated “Multitudes” of a man. Revelation 13:18 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. Revelation 13:18 18 Here is chochmah (wisdom). Let him that has binah (understanding) consider the multitude of the beast: for it is the multitude of a man; and his multitude is encoded in ‘chi, xi, sigma.’ Islam gives fulfillment of the 666, The multitudes, or number of Mohammed‟s followers and Not a literal number. The three Greek letters are a code, which portrays a message to John and through John to us, in order to identify the end time beast. This is not a literal number, as no man has a number in place of a name. All men have real names, as does the end time beast. Some manuscripts say 614, some 646, some 665, so that 666 is just one reading. Moreover, one cannot use Greek words, or letters to figure gematria, or the numerical value of letters, since that only applies to the Hebrew language. 1 Additionally, the last Greek letter is an accent not a letter. The first Greek letter „chi‟ looks like two crossed swords, the very symbol of Islam seen by John before Islam was even invented by Mohammed. The next letter in Greek, „xi‟ is written vertically and is the exact name of Allah when written horizontally in Arabic. Thus the symbol of the crossed swords, along with the name of Allah is the mark with the final letter more of an accent mark, known as a „sigma score‟ and not a „sigma‟ itself. The letter sigma does not even exist in modern Greek. The verse as translated correctly in verse 18 means this. “Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding decide who the multitude of the beast is, for it is the multitudes of a man (Mohammed) and (the same multitudes) are all involved with the mark, the name of Allah. The Greek word number is more accurately translated as multitudes, or the great number/multitude of those who worship the end time beast day and night. 666, Greek, and Gematria The Aramaic Peshitta spells out the number, “six hundred and sixty six” in longhand format ( ). Here is wisdom. To whom there is reason compute number of the beast, because number of man is, and number six hundred and sixty six. The Greek text does not spell out the 666 longhand, but instead represents the 666 using gematria. Gematria is a numerical coding system by which the letters of the Hebrew alphabet are assigned numerical values. 2 Reading from left to right, the first Greek letter, χ (pronounced “chi”) has a numerical value of 600. The middle Greek letter, ξ, is pronounced “xi”, and it has a numerical value of 60. The third Greek letter, ς, is pronounced “stigma”. Although its numerical value has changed since the first century, back in the first century, the stigma had a numerical value of 6. We might also note that the stigma has a literal meaning of “scar, mark, or badge of service”. Χξς, then, has a numerical value of 600 + 60 +6 = 666. The Bismallah (the name of Allah) Yahuchanan (John) wrote the Book of the Revelation on the Island of Patmos. Revelation 1:9 9 I, Yochanan, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Yahusha Messiah, was on the island that is called Patmos for the Word of Aluah and for the testimony of Yahusha Messiah. Back in the first century, the everyday language on the Island of Patmos was most likely Greek. Since Patmos was a Greek-speaking island, and since Yahuchanan was sent to minister on Patmos, it seems reasonable that Yahuchanan spoke and/or wrote at least some Greek. The Islamic Mark of the Beast relies on a Greek inspiration for the Book of the Revelation, since it tells us that Yahuchanan did not intend to record the literal number six hundred and sixty six (as in the Peshitta), but that he was attempting to capture the heavenly vision he was being shown by using Greek letters. 3 The Islamic MARK also tells us that the heavenly vision that Yahuchanan was attempting to capture was what is known in Arabic as the „Bismallah‟ (the “Name of Allah”), shown below. If we flip the Bismallah (the Name of Allah) diagonally, note the similarity to the middle character (xi) of the hand-written Codex Vaticanus, which is believed to be the oldest known Greek manuscript, dated circa 350 CE. The line above the xi (under the words “A.D. 350”) is not an underline, but is actually part of the hand-written text. Crossed swords are commonly used in Islam to denote conquest. Therefore, if we add crossed swords to the left of the middle character (xi), and remember that the stigma on the right has the meaning of „mark,‟ we get crossed swords, the Name of Allah, and the word „mark‟ (Χξς). ς (mark) 4 It is not difficult to see the similarities between these crossed swords, the Name of Allah (flipped) and the stigma, as compared with the Codex Vaticanus. If one looks closely, one can even see all three figures (Χξς) in the Chechin (Islamic) revolutionary flag, here also flipped diagonally. The thought behind the Islamic 666, then, is that Yochanan was not telling us that the number of the Beast‟s name would literally be six hundred and sixty six. Rather, the thought is that Yochanan was trying to capture the image he was being shown by depicting it in modified Greek letters (Χξς), adding the horizontal line above the Xi. 5 According to Revelation 13:18, the Mark of the Beast is supposed to be worn both on the head, and on the right hand. Islamic jihadists typically wear this Bismallah on the forehead and on the right arm. This would be significant, as the Hebrew word „yad‟ ( ) means both „hand‟ and „arm‟. Most Islamic jihadists wear both head and arm bands. Below is a picture of a Hamas headband. Similar bands are typically worn on the right arm as well. If one looks closely, and is willing to turn the images on their sides, one may be able to identify images that resemble the xi, the chi, and the stigma (Χξς). Departing from the Text It only makes sense that Scripture would speak about a major world force such as Islam, particularly since it affects the Land of Yasharal (Israel), and Yahuah‟s people Yasharal) Israel. 6 Nonetheless, the Islamic Mark of the Beast depends upon a Greek inspiration, and it also asks us to depart from the face value of the passage, which speaks of a literal number 666, which as for stated is only one translation of numbers as others do say 614, some 646, some 665. “Here is Wisdom Let Him that Understands the Islamic End time Beast know that His Mark is the name of Allah”. Biblical scholars, for instance, focused again on the interpretation of the notorious conundrum and on the Traditionsgeschichte of Antichrist. For some of those commentators it was a reply to the outpouring of sensationalist publications fuelled by the millennial mania. This paper aims to shed some light on the background, the sources, and the interpretation of the “number of the beast”. It explores the ancient techniques for understanding the conundrum including: gematria, arithmetic, symbolic, and riddle-based solutions.

  • (P)115 and the Number of the Beast
Tyndale Bulletin 58.1 (2007) 151-153. P115 AND THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST P. J. Williams Summary In Revelation 13:18 the occurrence of the number 616 in P115 has been taken as offering support to the view that the number refers to Nero. Here, an alternative or perhaps additional explanation of the number 616 is given by the suggestion that this number visually mimics designations of Jesus. 1. Introduction The number of conjectures as to the significance of the number of the Beast in Revelation 13:18 almost seems to exceed 666. Scholars now generally agree that a solution to the question of its meaning will need to invoke some form of gematria, since the letters of both the Greek and Hebrew alphabets had numerical significance. Irenaeus records, with varying levels of approval,1 the suggestions that 666 corresponded ευανθας λατεινος τειταν to , and , but none of these commands modern support. Recent scholarship has more readily given attention to various possibilities based on the Hebrew alphabet. One of the consistently popular proposals of the modern period – one which Charles attributes to four scholars independently – is that ק ו ר נ נרון קסר 666 stands for Nero Caesar = (2× [50], 2× [200], [6], ס [100], [60].2 This interpretation has gained support through the exist- ence of a textual variant giving the number as 616 found in ms C and 1 Irenaeus, Adv. Haer. 5.30.3. 2 R. H. Charles, The Revelation of St. John (ICC; Edinburgh: T & T Clark, 1920): 367. The scholars mentioned by Charles are Holtzmann, Benary, Hitzig and Reuss.

THE BEAST AND THE REVIVAL OF ROME: MUSSOLINI AND ROME IN THE PREMILLENNIAL IMAGINATION JON STAMM 130 Pages Premillennial dispensationalism became immensely influential among American Protestants who saw themselves as defenders of orthodoxy. As theological conflict heated up in the early 20th century, dispensationalism’s unique eschatology became one of the characteristic features of the various strands of “fundamentalists” who fought against modernism and the perceived compromises of mainline Protestantism. Their embrace of the dispensationalist view of history and Biblical prophecy had a significant effect on how they interpreted world events and how they lived out their faith. These fundamentalists established patterns of interpretation that in the second half of the 20th century would fuel the emergence of a politically influential form of Christian Zionism.

Envisioned as a false-messiah, deceptive miracle-worker, and prophet of evil, Antichrist inversely embodies many of the qualities and characteristics associated with Max Weber’s concept of charisma. This essay explores early Christian, medieval, and contemporary depictions of Antichrist and the imagined political circumstances of his reign as manifesting the notion of (anti)charisma, compelling but misleading charismatic political and religious leadership oriented toward damnation rather than redemption. Keywords: apocalypticism; charisma; Weber; antichrist; Bible; US presidency 1. Introduction: Obama, Antichrist, and Weber On 4 November 2012, just two days before the most recent US presidential election, Texas “Megachurch” pastor Robert Jeffress (1956– ) proclaimed that a vote for the incumbent candidate Barack Obama (1961– ) represented a vote for the coming of Antichrist. “President Obama is not the Antichrist,” Jeffress qualified to his listeners, “But what I am saying is this: the course he is choosing to lead our nation is paving the way for the future reign of Antichrist” [1].

BIBLE PROPHECY 666 and the Mark of the Beast www.makinglifecount.net Revelation 13:16-18 says, "And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead, and he provides that no one should be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six." Three things are mentioned in this passage: 1. The mark of the beast 2. The name of the beast 3. The number of his name The Mark of the Beast is not 666 but a mark that everyone must have to buy or sell. What kind of mark it will be is not stated. It may be an emblem of his kingdom or some kind of computer chip or code. 666 is the number of the Beast's name. The number of the beast is the number of a man. That means that the beast is not a political system, a country, a computer, etc., but a man—the Antichrist. This verse informs us that the Antichrist will control the world's economy with some kind of mark or symbol, which everyone will be required to take. No one will be able to buy or sell without having the mark on his or her right hand or forehead.
