The sex-positive short film fest has been bringing audiences “a Oscar-nominated romance unfolds behind, in front of, the Iron Curtain new kind of porn” since 2005 and will hit Albuquerque’s Guild Cinema (3405 Central Ave. NE) Thursday, Jan. 31 through Saturday, Feb. 2. Every year Savage—a nationally syndicated advice columnist, author, journalist and LGBT community activist—asks sex-loving amateurs to create their own kinky, sexy, funny, creative films spotlighting a cornucopia of body types, shapes, ages, colors, sexualities, genders and fetishes. All films are five minutes or less. This year’s tour is spreading the love to more than 50 cities across the US and Canada. All seats are $18 in advance or $20 at the door. This introductory class is intended to familiarize writers with the art of acting. Exercises in character, dialogue, improvisation and more will—hopefully—make writers better able to communicate with the people who will be bringing their characters to life.
