Class Direct Browser Compatibility CD Live was originally built in the 1990’s before today’s choice of Internet Browsers was available. It therefore has some compatibility difficulties with more recently released browsers. Our technical team are working to resolve this compatibility. Meanwhile some workarounds are shown below: Class Direct Browser Compatibility Solution for Internet Explorer 10 Possible symptoms: Symptom 1 CD Live - Unable to download survey reports using Internet Explorer 10 Symptom 2 Unable to generate survey status Symptom 3 Unable to expand the item Symptom 4 Unable to browse CD Live site correctly Symptom 5 Blank screen Symptom 6 Unable to generate report As a workaround to any possible issues with your Internet Explorer 10 browser please follow steps below: In Internet Explorer 10 you will see the compatibility mode button - marked below: Once you’ve reached the CD Live website click on the button and browse the site You should be able to browse the site correctly Class Direct Browser Compatibility Solution for Internet Explorer 11 Possible symptoms: Symptom 1 Home/login page displayed incorrectly Symptom 2 CD Live - Unable to download survey reports using Internet Explorer 10 Symptom 3 Unable to generate survey status Symptom 4 Unable to expand the item Symptom 5 Unable to browse CD Live site correctly Symptom 6 Blank screen Symptom 7 Unable to generate report Internet Explorer 11 (Released late Oct 2013) doesn’t have a “Compatibility button”, instead you can ask it to treat each website differently. To uncover compatibility view/mode in IE 11, press the 'Alt' key while you are on the CD Live website's home page. This will bring up the Menu bar which is otherwise hidden. Select 'Tools' then 'Compatibility View Settings' and 'Add' the website to the list of websites (It will add the parent domain: lr.org) and you are done. Try the website again and you should be fine. Class Direct Browser Compatibility Workaround for Chrome “IE Tab” is a Chrome extension that is downloadable from https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ie- tab/hehijbfgiekmjfkfjpbkbammjbdenadd?utm_source=gmail. It basically runs a version of IE in the cloud, presented inside the Chrome browser. This is not supported by LR; though may help those who are only able to run Chrome. Please note that the session times out if inactive. An IE icon is produced at the top right of the Chrome window. When selected, it will deliver the current URL in IE, inside Chrome. Class Direct Browser Compatibility Workaround for Firefox “IE Tab” is a Firefox extension that is downloadable from https://addons.mozilla.org/en- US/firefox/addon/ie-tab-2-ff-36/?src=search. It basically runs a version of IE in the cloud, presented inside the Firefox browser. This is not supported by LR though may help those who are only able to run Firefox.
