Innisfail breeder Graham Anderson has donated a six month old Banker Hud-La Belle Gazelle bitch pup for the raffle. Some 70 percent of proceeds from the raffle will go to the Pat Rafter Cherish The Children Foundation, and the other 30 percent to open a youth suicide foundation in Innisfail. Cost of the tickets will be $2 and they can be bought at all the clubs throughout Queensland and at the GRA office. Anderson said it was planned to draw the raffle at Ipswich on Gold Cup final night (Oct 26). The pup is currently being reared at Coominya Lodge. Banker Hud is the imported US dog standing with Tony and Jane Apap at Gatton, while Anderson’s own bitch La Belle Gazelle was a brilliant galloper who held the Cairns sprint track record. She was from an exceptional litter. This is her second litter and the first has broken in with great reports.
