We wish to extend our thanks to these dear ones for without their many hours of invaluable assistance, this book would not have been possible. We are truly grateful for their diligence, creativity, and excellence in the compilation of this book for the glory of God. Preface When Angeline and I were married in 1965 we were aware of very little teaching and written material concerning marriage and family life. Since that time, volumes have been written on many different aspects of this vast and vital subject and seminars abound. I have, at times, asked the Lord if another writing was necessary. The information in this book is presented from a different perspective than other books on this topic. We have approached this subject from God-established scriptural order, giving each member of the family practical application for daily living in their God appointed responsibilities. We have personally worked through and lived the principles that are presented. We know God’s ways are right and will work in every generation. Having shared these concepts in leadership training seminars in many countries, we also know that God’s Word transcends every culture and answers basic problems in marriage and family life for all people groups. May you find what we have shared from our experience with God’s Word a blessing in your own marriage and family life. “Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it” (Psalm 127:1). May your family be constructed according to the pattern God has given that they can be strong, endure to the end, and be effective witnesses to the world that God’s ways are perfect and right. 21 DAYS of HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE Select a specific time and place. The best time to get alone with God is any time you can do it consistently without interruption. Find the time that works best for you! Mark 1:35 -- Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He got up, went out, and made His way to a deserted place; and there He was praying. Prepare your heart - Let the Holy Spirit draw you into God’s presence. Open your heart to Him; enjoy the closeness of His presence and fellowship. Psalm 51:10 -- God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Meditate on the Scriptures - Hide the Word in your heart! What is the Holy Spirit showing you about God, His plan, and His work in you? Psalm 19:14 -- May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Repent and confess - Let the Holy Spirit bring you into a right relationship with the Father. This is a time of examination and confession through repentance. Acts 3:19 -- Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out. Conclude with thanksgiving - God hears the prayers of His people and responds. Always give thanks for what He has done in your life. The Apostle Paul tells the believers in Philippi, “In every situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Psalm 9:1 -- I will thank the Lord with all my heart; I will declare all your wondrous works.

  • Fake Online Reviews: the Effect of Presentation Format on Consumers’ Memory
Fake online reviews: the effect of presentation format on consumers’ memory Paul Järvinen Department of Marketing Hanken School of Economics Helsinki 2020 i HANKEN SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS Department of: Marketing Type of work: Master’s Thesis Author: Paul Järvinen Date: 6.4.2020 Title of thesis: Fake online reviews: the effect of presentation format on consumers’ memory Abstract: Consumers are often exposed to misleading information that is contradictory to their consumption experiences. Furthermore, exposure to misleading information can alter consumers’ recollections of the experience. Misleading information can be seen in the form of fake online reviews, a phenomenon closely related to fake news and opinion fraud in general. Although consumers usually seek online reviews before a purchase decision, there are cases when consumers seek information after the experience, for instance, if they want to reassure themselves after a purchase decision or intend to purchase similar product or experience. While consumers trust online reviews, it is evident that a high proportion of online reviews are fake. Furthermore, online reviews are being increasingly posted in alternative formats, one being video. Thus, this study aims to find out if the presentation format of a fake online review makes the information more harmful to consumers’ memories. More specifically, if the format of the fake online review affects the formation of false memories. Furthermore, this study investigates possible factors that could explain the relationship between false memory and presentation format. It is also proposed that similar factors affecting the formation of false memories also make consumers more willing to share these fake online reviews. This study employs an experimental design to meet the objective.

  • A Moment in M.O.M.'S Kitchen
A Moment in M.O.M.’s Kitchen My Favorite Fall Flavors 2009 Author-Mrs. Joseph Wood Dedicated to: My beautiful daughters: Bekah-Lynn, Beth–Joy and Sarah-Grace. Pages may be copied for other members of your household only You are invited to visit our website at: www.amomentwithmom.blogspot.com Clipart is from www.clipart.com used with permission A Note from M.O.M. I find fall such an enjoyable time of year. There are so many memories made in each season of life yet, the memories of fall are what I most often daydream about. I smile as I hear the crackling of leaves under my feet. I remember as a child making homes out of leaves and playing „house‟ with my friends. I stop and take in the lessons learned as I listen to the ‟honking‟ of geese when they fly overhead. I am filled with thanksgiving as I look upon the pantry shelves and behold the colors of summer safely preserved for our ‟tomorrows‟. Perhaps I have learned most through this Season of life than any other. It is a season of transitions, something I have had to learn through the years, will come no matter how much I „wish‟ it away. My heart desire is to be an example to my daughters of how a Handmaiden of the Lord gracefully moves from one Season of life to another. I desire to teach them the importance of creating a home atmosphere that celebrates what is really important; the love of our Savior, family, and friends! Each year we have taken recipes from friends and family who cannot be with us and used them to adorn our table for Thanksgiving Day.

Author: Carter, Dale; Title: Surf Aces Resurfaced: The Beach Boys and the Greening of the American Counterculture, 1963-1973 Surf Aces Resurfaced: The Beach Boys and the Greening of the American Counterculture, 1963-1973 Dale Carter Aarhus University Abstract The rise of the American counterculture between the early- to mid-1960s and early- to mid-1970s was closely associated with the growth of environmentalism. This article explores how both informed popular music, which during these years became not only a prominent form of entertainment but also a forum for cultural and social criticism. In particular, through contextual and lyrical analyses of recordings by The Beach Boys, the article identifies patterns of change and continuity in the articulation of countercultural, ecological, and related sensibilities. During late 1966 and early 1967, the group’s leader Brian Wilson and lyricist Van Dyke Parks collaborated on a collection of songs embodying such progressive thinking, even though the music of The Beach Boys had previously shown no such ambitions. In the short term, their efforts floundered as the risk- averse logic of the commercial music industry prompted group members to resist perceived threats to their established profile. Yet in the long term (and ironically in the name of commercial survival), The Beach Boys began selectively to adopt innovations they had previously shunned. Shorn of its more controversial associations, what had formerly been considered high risk had by 1970 become good business as once-marginal environmentalism gained broader acceptability: thus did ‘America’s band’ articulate the flowering, greening, and fading of the counterculture.

This study contains a current tendency of the Loudness War which deals with the ques- tion in which way a louder and more compressed production impacts the dynamic of a song. The main focus of this study is to give an advice, which criteria should be fulfilled that music reaches an audience in a dynamic way and to show whether the Dynamic Range has got the potential to lead the Loudness War to an end.
