About Scout Missouri Scout is a private news service providing political intelligence and Call. Started in 2007, Missouri Scout has become the underground tip-sheet for Missouri state politics.

Monday through Friday, subscribers receive Daily Updates that include rumors, overlooked facts, and analysis about current events. These updates are almost entirely fresh dispatches with information that have yet to be reported anywhere else.

Rick Roeber - District 34

From BarefootRick: Dedicated as an infant in the First Methodist Church of Moody Texas in early 1956, Rick grew up in and out of church, lacking a firm foundation that ultimately led to his waywardness. Rick accepted the Lord Jesus in 1971 at Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Arlington Texas at 15 years old. After several more years of searching, he rededicated his life to the Lord Jesus in May 1976. During 1976-77, he attended Capernwray Bible School in Estes Park Colorado, receiving a certificate of completion. In 1978, he allowed himself to be wooed once again by the world. It would be another 14 years of trying to reestablish his faith while dealing with homelessness, alcohol and drug addiction before surrendering to the Lord. From his Facebook page: I enlisted in the United States Air Force on April 1, 1987. The military suited me… I completed NCO Preparatory School in 1990. The first Gulf War extended my enlistment several months, and I returned to Missouri in July of 1991 with an Honorable discharge and as a Sergeant (E4). In the years preceding my enlistment in the military, I began volunteering with the Boonville Fire Department. My dad was one of two Assistant Chiefs for the department and I was raised with the traditions of the fire department. When I returned home from the military, I once again began volunteering with Boonville’s department. The idea that making firefighting a career began to creep into my thoughts. Two short months after returning to Missouri, I met the woman who would become my wife. Dawn and I met in one of the traditional ways young people meet in Boonville. We were introduced at a wedding party at the Rod and Gun Club, what is now the Knights of Columbus. We married in 1993 in Arrow Rock, MO, and purchased our first house that same year. It was a historic home on 8th Street in Boonville… In 1997, the Columbia Fire Department offered me a job and I accepted. Michael attended the Affton School District until his Junior year of high school when he was recruited to Christian Brother College for theater arts. Michael grew up performing in the St. Louis area and performed on stages like The Muny, The Fox Theater and was blessed to have also performed in the White House. While attending Lindenwood University Michael was cast in a Broadway show and moved to NYC to pursue his dream.
