Located only 7 miles directly west of , we are the convenient alternave to both Hickam AFB and MCAS Kaneohe Bay.

History

- 1944-1999: Naval Air Station Barbers Point, P-3 Orion squadron base

- 1965-Present: US Coast Guard co-located on airfield, (Currently a HH-65 and C-130 Operator)

- 1999-Present: State of Operated GA Airport re-designated John Rogers Field (PHJR), Kalaeloa Airport

Tower Operaons: 0600 – 2200 Daily (Aer Hours CTAF and Pilot Controlled Lighng)

Maximum Ramp Weight: 800,000 pounds (overweight waiver possible)

Airspace: PHJR is situated in Class D airspace controlled jointly by military and civilian controllers. The airspace is uncongested and reduces pilot effort, enables greater efficiency and provides increased flexibility. Minimum me for arrivals and departures in comparison to Hickam AFB (PHNL).
