Sixty six groundwater samples were collected from different locations of these blocks and analysed for the various physico-chemical parameters like pH, EC, turbidity,TDS,TH, Ca, Mg, Cl, F, Fe, SO4, NO3 and As. Water samples were collected from hand pumps and public water supply. Among the parameters described, elevated levels of EC, turbidity, TDS, TH, Ca and Fe were detected according to WHO permissible limits for drinking water. Arsenic concentration in 36.36 to 59.09% groundwater samples were found higher than the WHO permissible limit.
