Activities at the Seminary Campus-Wide Cookouts, Coffee Nights, Chili Cook-Offs and Other Activities Are Offered Throughout the Year Activities at the Seminary Campus-Wide Cookouts, Coffee Nights, Chili Cook-Offs and other activities are offered throughout the year. Visit the Around Southeastern website at apps.sebts.edu/AroundSE/ or contact the Student Life Office at (919) 761-2305 for more information about a variety of events. Campus-Wide Yard Sales – The Housing Office sponsors campus-wide yard sales each April and September. Notification will be sent to you by email prior to the event. Chapel – Chapel is Tuesday & Thursday each week that school is in session during the fall and spring semes- ters. It begins at 10:00 a.m. in Binkley Chapel. Family members and friends are always welcome to attend. Connecting Point – This ministry exists to foster fellowship and spiritual maturity among the women of Southeastern. Several ladies events are offered throughout each semester, including a Craft and Bake Sale held in the fall for students to earn extra money. Ministries for Southeastern Students Food Pantry – 1) Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville hosts a food pantry. Call the church at (919) 556-3420 or visit www.faithnc.org for more information. 2) North Wake Church in Wake Forest hosts a food pantry. Call the church at (919) 556-1546 or visit www.northwake.com for more information. Manna Ministry – This ministry provides a large variety of free bakery products (bread, rolls, snacks, etc.) and depends on volunteers to pick up donated foods from local stores. This ministry operates every Tuesday eve- ning and Saturday morning at 100/102 Hipps Drive. Call (919) 761-2305 for more information. See note be- low. Sharing Shop – This is a free ministry for all SEBTS students and their families. Located at the same place as the Manna Ministry, you can find donated clothing for the whole family and various household items. This ministry operates every Tuesday evening and Saturday morning. Call (919) 761-2305 for more information. See note below. NOTE: You need a student ID card in order to use the Manna Ministry and the Sharing Shop. If you do not have a student ID card, you may be able to get a temporary ID card or a dependant ID card from the Student Life Office at the Ledford Center. Student Services Ledford Center – This building includes a gymnasium, fitness center, racquetball courts, and recreation for the whole family. A variety of campus offices and stores are also located in the Ledford Center and are avail- able during normal business hours. Contact the Student Life Office at (919) 761-2302 for more information. Below are some of the services available in the Ledford Center: 1. Lifeway Campus Bookstore carries textbooks needed for classes at Southeastern, as well as a variety of greeting cards, music, and Bibles. (919) 761-2712. 2. The Court Cafe serves a variety of sandwiches, salads, and snacks. (919) 761-2170 3. The Locker carries SEBTS clothing and logo items. (919) 761-2334 The following services are also available in The Locker: The Seminary Post Office is available for purchasing stamps and mailing packages. The Semi- nary Post Office also maintains mailboxes for Goldston Hall, Bostwick Hall, Lolley Hall and Shaw House residents. An ATM machine is available for use at the Post Office. (919) 761-2183 The Copy Center is available for copies, scanning, faxing, folding, and laminating. (919) 761- Student Services, cont. 4. The Ministry Referral Office offers current students and graduates the opportunity to explore ministry opportunities—full-time, part-time, internships and guest speaking—from churches or other ministries that request resumes from our students and graduates. Ministry Referral also provides guidance counseling, resume advisement, and other assistance. Financial Aid provides information about scholarships, loans, veterans benefits and more. Seminary Center for Health– Routine medical services are available to SEBTS students, spouses, and children ages 12 and up.     Special Education Scholarships for Children with Disabilities Administered by the State Education Assistance Authority Annual Report October 1, 2014 The Special Education Scholarships for Children with Disabilities program reimburses parents/guardians for the education expenses for children who require a specialized instructional curriculum and attend a nonpublic school. The maximum grant for the 2014 spring semester was $3,000. Among the eligibility requirements in the first year of the program, a student must have attended a public school in the fall 2013 semester OR if enrolled in a private school, the student’s parent must have claimed and been allowed the North Carolina tax credit for special education expenses of a child in a private school.
