Cluses, France Beaverton’S Sister City Since 1999
Cluses, France Beaverton’s sister city since 1999 ISing Choir’s benefit concert in Cluses Sunset over the city Hotel de’Ville in Cluses Overview: Located halfway between Geneva and Mont Blanc in southeastern France, Cluses is a small but vital stop for any outdoor enthusiast. Although it has historic agricultural roots, Cluses is also located in Frances’s “Technic Valley” and is a hot spot for blossoming enterprises. Fun Facts: • Cluses became an independent commune on May 4, 1310. • Cluses is famous for their Azye wine, Magland sausage and Reblochon cheese. • Watchmaking is imbedded in Cluses’ history since the 18th century, and the Museum of Clock-Making and Bar-Tuning is solely dedicated to emphasizing this trait. • The two main events of Cluses are the “Musiques en Stock Festival,” a modern pop-rock festival, and the “Ampersand,” an annual book fair. • Cluses has two weekly Farmers Markets. • The Cluses L’atelier is a music concert hall with a rehearsal studio which may also be rented out to local musicians. Please visit www.BeavertonOregon.gov/SisterCities for more information. Words from a local: Cluses has a great location: we are only 15 minutes from the slopes and Annecy and Geneva is very close, too (about 30 – 40 minutes). Italy, Switzerland and Germany are also not very far away. When visiting Cluses, you must travel to nearby Chamonix to see Mont Blanc and Annecy, home to Europe’s most beautiful and purest lake. We have to travel outside the city because it’s very small and we don’t have any big stores. -

CP RATP Annemasse VA
PRESS RELEASE 11 February 2019 THE RATP GROUP LAUNCHES ITS FIRST MAAS APP IN ANNEMASSE An ‘all-in-one’ MaaS (Mobility as a Service) solution will provide a multimodal mobility experience for passengers on the TAC network operated by RATP Dev. The RATP group is set to launch a new version of the TAC Mobilités mobile app via its RATP Dev subsidiary and Annemasse Agglo. The app collects theoretical and/or real-time public transport information in the Annemasse area (TAC network, car sharing and SNCF) and Geneva (TPG and CFF networks) to provide a multimodal service. The new version of the TAC Mobilités mobile app has a single gateway to real-time local travel options covering complementary modes of transport: TAC and TPG public transport, carpooling, taxis and parking spaces. E-tickets for the TAC network, available on another app since autumn 2017, are also stored in the app. Thanks to this new integration, passengers can now find travel information and buy and validate tickets in one app. Future app developments to come in 2019 include adding new modes of transport managed by different operators and integrating mobile payment options, aiming to create an advanced MaaS solution. This new mobile app is the RATP group’s first real ‘MaaS’ solution offering all passenger services (information, journey planning, purchases/bookings, ticket validation) for multiple modes of transport: public transport, car sharing, carpooling, taxis and parking spaces. According to Laurence Batlle, RATP Dev Chief Executive Officer: "With this MaaS solution, RATP Dev is aiming to make transport accessible to all, no matter the time or place, by using all available public and private options to meet the needs of tomorrow’s cities ". -

This short document affirms who we are and sets out our objectives for the immediate future as we approach our 90th birthday in 2014. These goals appear under three headings: a high-performing Foundation, educational excellence and, finally, the Ecolint community. The genesis of Focus for the Future was the work undertaken by the Strategic Planning Committee last year, which studied the life cycle of the Ecolint student from admission, through the early, primary and secondary years, culminating with the move to tertiary education and becoming an alumnus. Working in groups, the committee conducted surveys and interviews and summarised its research under four simple headings: What’s working? What’s inspiring? What’s missing? What’s possible? From these findings, we drew up a Benchmark for Excellence: a set of criteria that would define and describe excellence in every realm of school life from governance to It is also my pleasure to introduce this pastoral care, from teaching to facilities, from extra-curricular provision to university issue of echo magazine. -
