‘Mystery’ Aluminum Race Car Date Listed: 31-Jan-15 Price: $52,000,00 Address: I have a very rare and interesting full bodied "Mystery" aluminum race car from the early 50's. The car has many styling features from the early Jaguar C & D, Aston Martin, Ferrari and others. The car appears to be Factory built with evidence of pressed inner & outer panels. It may have been a "Custom" built race car, Factory prototype or "Special". I discovered the car outside Mosport about seven years ago. Over the years the original frame had been replaced with a "Custom" Corvette C3 unit. To maintain the light weight build, I sourced a low mileage aluminum block GMC LS engine & 6 speed tranny from the GM Holden plant (Australia). Note: the Holden built engines are regarded as having higher output than their North American brothers. At 2400 lb.; 50/50 weight ratio and 350-400 hp. This car is FAST!
