Cubs wgn schedule Continue It's a TV/radio kind of day as the Cubs also released their spring training broadcast schedule on Tuesday. Also on Tuesday, the Cubs released their television schedule for the 2019 regular season, the final year that they will have over-the-air broadcasts on WGN-TV and ABC7 Chicago. For WGN, which ends 72 consecutive seasons of broadcasting Cubs baseball, the longest-ever connection between a television broadcasting station and any sports team. I find myself a little surprised that WGN isn't making the last regular-season game this year; that seemed appropriate. Instead, their final broadcast will be Friday, September 27. Like last year, most games (except national broadcasts on ESPN or Fox) will be on NBC Sports Chicago, WGN or ABC7. NBCSCH will have up to 83 games, 45 will be on WGN and 25 on ABC7. Up to because the total comes to 153 games. The remaining nine will be broadcast in national seeded broadcasts of one type or another. If the national network comes calling for the game not on their schedule now, one or more of these channels could end up with fewer games. You note the three Sunday games (June 9, September 1st and September 22) are listed as TBD start time and can be selected for ESPN, although ESPN already has five other Cubs games for the SNB. Similarly, September 28, Saturday, may be selected for Fox-TV. That time is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. in St. Louis. NBC Sports Chicago and their predecessor CSN Chicago are currently in their 15th year of hosting the Cubs Game and for ABC7, this is their fifth and final year. The Cubs are expected to launch their own TV channel for the 2020 season. Len Casper is back for his 15th season in the booth and for analyst Jim Deshay, this is his seventh season broadcasting the Cubs game. Each regular-season Cubs telecast on NBC Sports Chicago, including the surrounding Cubs Pre/Postgame Live coverage, will be available live through the nbcsportschicago.com and NBC Sports Chicago app to authenticate NBC Sports Chicago subscribers. I also post broadcast information in every day of the game preview. Go to Content Cubs Hit the Field for What Should Be a Fascinating Season Under New Manager David Ross, starting Friday night at home against the Brewers. The first in a three-game series at Wrigley Field, it is also the beginning of an intense three months in which each MLB team will play 60 games in 66 days. The shortened 2020 season, which began Thursday night with the Yankees before the Nationals, runs through September 27 before the postseason. To limit travel, the Cubs will exclusively face teams from the NL Central and AL Central Division, including a three-game series against the White Sox, to complete the season. Marquee Sports Network, which was supposed to take over the Cubs local broadcasts in the spring, is becoming the new home of the TV team now. There are also a number of national television games, including two of the first three games against Milwaukee this weekend. For Cubs fans wanting to make sure they can watch all 60 games from the comfort of home this year, here's a complete breakdown of the team's television schedule and how to tune in. How can I get Marquee Sports Network? With the Cubs' move to Marquee, a partnership between the club and Sinclair Broadcast Group, this year, fans need to make sure they have a service that can access the network, either via cable or streaming.
