Fight Choreographer: Greg Longenhagen Understudies: Dillion Everett, Kyle Ashe Wilkinson Assistant Costume Designer: Kim Griffin Wardrobe: Meredith Hubbard Lighting and Sound Board Operator: Jared Loeb ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT was born in 1930 in in December, 1920. He sold the first of his many televisions plays, The Bus to Nowhere, in 1950. He was called for jury duty for the first time in 1954. It was a manslaughter case, and the jury argued bitterly for eight hours before bringing in a unanimous verdict. He decided that this was a powerful situation on which to base a television play, and wrote Twelve Angry Men as a live one-hour drama for “CBS Studio One.” The impact of the Twelve Angry Men teleplay led to the film version in 1957, and he received Oscar nominations for Best Screenplay and Best Picture (as co-producer). The stage version was first produced in London in 1996. In 1967, Twelve Angry Men was filmed for television. His other TV plays include The Remarkable Incident at Carson Corners, Thunder on Sycamore Street, The Cruel Day, The Sacco-Vanzetti Story, Dear Friends, and the award-winning Escape From Sobibor. He created, supervised and wrote many episodes of The Defenders series (1961-1965). His films include Crime in the Streets, Dino, Man of the West, Baxter, Somebody Killed Her Husband, The Wild Geese, The Seawolves and the film version of Whose Life is it Anyway? He published The Thomas Book, written for children, and a memoir, Undelivered Mail. For the stage he also wrote Black Monday and Principals Only. Nominated six times, he won Emmys in 1954, 1962 and 1963. Among his many awards were the Berlin Film Festival Golden Bear; Writers Guild of America Awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award, and three Mystery Writers of America Awards. Reginal Rose died on April 19, 2002.
