The informants consisted of 8 (eight) people, namely Head of Animal Husbandry Office of Kupang Regency, Head of Animal Husbandry Field at the Agriculture Office of Kupang City, Researchers from the Undana Faculty of Animal Husbandry, and 5 (five) farmer who are members of the organization Himpuli (Himpunan Pengusaha Unggas Lokal Indonesia). The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used is descriptive which is described in a narrative. The results showed that NTT Province has the potential to establish broiler breeding companies with a concentration of development in Kupang City or Kupang Regency for Timor Island, Nagekeo Regency for Flores Island, and Southwest Sumba Regency for Sumba Island. The existence of broiler breeding companies in NTT will increase the effectiveness of the broiler marketing chain, stimulate new jobs, increase income supported by policies, socio-culture, economy, and distribution. This of course has been well studied from the aspect of overcoming environmental damage caused by the presence of broiler breeding companies in NTT. Keywords: Companies; Breeding; Broiler ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui faktor penentu dan dampak keberadaan perusahaan ayam ras pedaging di Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 6 (enam) bulan dari bulan September 2018- Februari 2019 dengan lokasi penelitian di Kabupaten Kupang dan Kota Kupang yang ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Metode penelitian bersifat deskriptif dengan cara survei, observasi dan wawancara. Narasumber terdiri dari 8 (delapan) orang, yaitu Kepala Dinas Peternakan Kabupaten Kupang, Kepala Bidang Peternakan pada Dinas Pertanian Kota Kupang, Peneliti dari Fakultas Peternakan Undana, dan 5 (lima) pengusaha ayam ras pedaging yang tergabung dalam organisasi Himpuli (Himpunan Pengusaha Unggas Lokal Indonesia). Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif yang dijabarkan secara naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Provinsi NTT berpotensi untuk didirikan perusahaan 141 Riwukore et al. Adanya perusahaan pembibitas ayam ras pedaging di NTT akan meningkatkan efektifitas rantai pemasaran ayam ras pedaging, menstimulasi lapangan pekerjaan baru, meningkatkan pendapatan yang didukung oleh kebijakan, sosial budaya, ekonomi, dan distribusi. Hal tersebut tentu telah dikaji secara baik dari aspek penanggulangan kerusakan lingkungan yang ditimbulkan oleh adanya perusahaan pembibitan ayam ras pedaging di NTT. Purpose: The study aims to explore the various factors that correlate with the health of mothers and children in families who live in underveloped and state borders by using the perspective of supply and demand. Methods: The research was conducted with observational analitic by survey in underdeveloped areas and state border in 3 border districts in 9 sub-districts with 18 villages in Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. There were 396 families selected from the population by multistage random sampling. Results: The results showed that pregnancy examinations or Antenatal Care services, delivery by health personnel in health facilities; Immunization factors and family planning participation are indicators of Maternal and Child Health, and home environmental factors, healthy lifestyle factors, infectious disease factors, non-communicable diseases, socio-economic factors, and accessibility factors are some of the factors related to MCH.

The highest infection prevalence was A.Lumbricoides infection 28.5%, T.Trichiura 5.9% and infection mix 65.6% in West Sumba Regency, and the highest prevalence of infection was A.Lumbricoides infection 30.0%, T.Trichiura 17 , 1% and mix infections 46.8% in Central Sumba Regency. One of the factors that influence the incidence of STH infection is the behavioral factor of elementary school children. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of behavior on the incidence of STH infection. This study was conducted in elementary school children in Northwest Sumba. The type and design of the study were cross sectional study, with a sample size of 105 children and a Multistage random sampling sampling technique. The independent variable of the study is the behavior of school children and the dependent variable is STH infection. Data collection techniques were carried out by the direc laboratory examination method, and interviews using questionnaires and analyzed by Chi-square and Multiple Logistic Regression.

This concern with belonging has most dramatically come to the fore in post-Suharto Indonesia in the form of various communal conflicts. Less violent in character, the importance of ‘belonging’ is also voiced in the state-dependent Eastern Indonesian town of Kupang as suspicions regarding informal favoring in local civil service. Informal preferencing in civil service is assumed to be based on ethnic favoring. Reflecting a popular social discourse for marking differences rather than a social reality, however, a focus on ethnicity is more obscuring than helpful in analyzing how informal favoring takes place. This article therefore aims to address the usefulness of ethnicity as an analytical concept. Drawing on several ethnographic examples this article argues that social capital -if necessary complemented with other forms of capital- instead of ‘ethnicity’ facilitates informal preferencing in Kupang’s service. Oftentimes it was supposed that somehow ‘ethnicity’ had something to do with it, meaning that jobs were given out informally based on ethnic favoring.

In malaria endemic areas, the largest proportion of malaria is asymptomatic malaria. Most people with asymptomatic malaria are not diagnosed and do not receive therapy. Asymptomatic malaria sufferers carry gametocytes which play an important role in the transmission of malaria, this situation will result in carrier sufferers or malaria sufferers without clinical symptoms (asymptomatic) at any time can transmit parasites to other people, thus new cases and even extraordinary events (outbreaks) of malaria can occur at unexpected times. This research is an interventional descriptive study with the aim of detecting the presence of asymptomatic malaria in the people of Nun Kurus Village, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara through the mass blood survey (MBS) work program from Naibonat Public Health Centre, Kupang Regency, and East Nusa Tenggara. The sample in this study was obtained using a total sampling method, namely, all subjects who participated in the MBS activity who were more than 5 years old, with the total of 68 people.

This research was conducted in the Southwest Sumba regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. This regency has a great potency of natural resources but with higher poverty level due to the low human resources, limited investments and available technology. The poverty problem has a strong correlation with food scarcity that can be solved through the development of sustainable horticulture agribusinesses. The multi-dimensional scaling (MDS) analysis, as a modification of the rapid appraisal of the Status of Farming (RAP-farm) method, was used in this study. The results of the analysis showed that sustainability status of the development of horticulture agribusiness in the Southwest Sumba regency was less sustainable, valued 43.72. This value was obtained according to the assessment of 37 parameters from five dimensions with different sustainability statuses, of which only ecology was quite sustainable (52.12), whereas economy (49.01), social (46.76), technology (43.8), and institutions (48.91) were less sustainable.

In a meeting that lasted nearly 30 minutes in Jakarta on Monday, Xanana also acted as chair- man of the negotiations on the land boundaries between Indonesia and Timor Leste. The Indonesian Foreign Minister, Retno Marsudi witnessed the signing of the agreement. "I say that all land boundary negotiations are in principle complete. Next, we will continue the maritime boundary negotia- tions," Wiranto explained. With the completion of the agreement, a senior officer consultation (SOC) would be followed up in the second addendum, the 2005 border agreement between Indonesia and Timor Leste, Wiranto stated. Meanwhile, on behalf of East Timor, Xanana Gusmao expressed his gratitude to Wiranto and Marsudi. "In principle, we already have an agreement on the land boundaries.
