China is undergoing one of the fastest and largest urbanization processes in the world. This process has two facets, one is the incremental expansion of urban populations and cities, which characterizes China’s urbanization, while the other is that urban quality is increasingly gaining people’s attention. Specifically, with regard to the differing gauges for measurement sweeping the nation. These measurements increasingly define what is a good city, and those are not so good , and how to improve them both. Put it another way, the term ‘city’ has become a hot topic, repeated in thousands of workshops, seminars, disertations, and academic publicaitons, sparking the fire of debate and innovation. Accordingly, there are many questions that have been on my mind since my partners and I began the China Urban Developent Review , which is, is it really necessary to do this? Why and what do we review? Who should review exactly? And how is the review done? In answer to the why-question, first, we review in order to learn and to reflect. Second, we feel obligated and excited to join in these lively dicussions on China’s urbanization, making our voice heard, and making contributions that will grow with our beautiful cities. These contributions are from our heart, simple, but real. Nevertheless, we believe it is necessary to

However, the long-term evolution of lakes in a certain megacity and the heterogeneity of the spatial relationship between related influencing factors and lake changes are rarely discussed. The evolution of 58 lakes in Wuhan, China from 1990 to 2019 was analyzed from three aspects of lake area, lake landscape, and lakefront ecology, respectively. The Multi-Scale Geographic Weighted Regression model (MGWR) was then used to analyze the impact of related influencing factors on lake area change. The investigation found that the total area of 58 lakes decreased by 15.3%. A worsening trend was found regarding lake landscape with the five landscape indexes of lakes dropping; in contrast, lakefront ecology saw a gradual recovery with variations in the remote sensing ecological index (RSEI) in the lakefront area. The MGWR regression results showed that, on the whole, the increase in Gross Domestic Product (GDP), RSEI in the lakefront area, precipitation, and humidity Citation: Wen, C.; Zhan, Q.; Zhan, contributed to lake restoration.

Li Bai and his poetry works are comprehensively arranged and deeply studied from the perspective of tourism, thereby providing an important basis for developing tourism resources and enriching cultural connotation of tourism products in various regions, and further promoting inheritance and development of China tourism culture. Keywords: Li Bai; tourism resources; tourism culture; tourism aesthetics. 1. Introduction Li Bai is a great romantic poet of China, who 'traveled many famous mountains for his life'. He 'studied immortals in his fifteenth year and never stopped immortal trips'. He 'went to far places with sword' at the age of 25. Li Bai stayed in Dangtu of Anhui at the age of 60 till his death. Li Bai traveled all year round since 15 years old. His steps were radiated to the whole China. Li Bai was repeatedly frustrated in his political career and failed to realize his political ambition especially from 44 to 55 years old. Therefore, he mainly focused on travelling during the period. Such a long and extensive travel is rare among ancient Chinese literati, which also enabled him to transcend his status as a poet.

The map illustrates the boundaries set up by the Territorial Convention of 1860 and the New Convention of 1898. The map was issued shortly after the signing of the New Convention on June 9, 1898. Under the convention the territories north of what is now Boundary Street and south of the Sham Chun River, and the surrounding islands, later known as the "New Territories" were leased to the United Kingdom for 99 years rent-free, expiring on 30 June 1997, and became part of the crown colony of Hong Kong. The Kowloon Walled City was excepted and remained under the control of Qing China. The territories which were leased to the United Kingdom were originally governed by Xin'an County, Guangdong province. Claude MacDonald, the British representative during the convention, picked a 99- year lease because he thought it was "as good as forever". Britain did not think they would ever have to give the territories back. The 99-year lease was a convenient agreement. Rarity We were unable to find an institutional examples of the map. A smaller version of the map appeared the in Europe in China: The History of Hong Kong from the Beginning to the Year 1882, published in 1899.

Executive Summary Hong Kong provided much of the economic muscle that has transformed China into a global financial powerhouse over the past three decades. The city of 7.3 million, which has been a special administrative region of China since the United Kingdom relinquished control in 1997, is increasingly intertwined with the mainland. But while Hong Kong remains relatively prosperous and is still a regional financial center, its recent growth rate is well below that of the People’s Republic. The territory has failed to diversify to mitigate its reliance on trade services and finance and faces a host of problems that will be difficult to overcome, according to economic experts. “Hong Kong has gone sideways,” says one.
