European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas (Charter): the Value of the “Charter” in Identifying Sustainable Tourism Destinations European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in protected areas (Charter): The value of the “Charter” in identifying sustainable tourism destinations WORK PACKAGE 1 REPORT Appendix 3 NUMBER OF ENDANGERED SPECIES + HABITATS IN CHARTER PARKS 1 Q.10. “MAGIC NUMBERS” List of the species or habitats managed/protected within the park or charter area that are listed on the IUCN red data list, or designated through the EU birds and habitats directive or nationally or regionally listed in a specific country, such as local rarities , endangered etc. The Birds Directive Directive 2009/147/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 on the conservation of wild birds (this is the codified version of Directive 79/409/EEC as amended) is the EU’s oldest piece of nature legislation and one of the most important, creating a comprehensive scheme of protection for all wild bird species naturally occurring in the Union. The Habitats Directive The Habitats Directive (together with the Birds Directive) forms the cornerstone of Europe's nature conservation policy. It is built around two pillars: the Natura 2000 network of protected sites and the strict system of species protection. All in all the directive protects over 1.000 animals and plant species and over 200 so called "habitat types" (e.g. special types of forests, meadows, wetlands, etc.), which are of European importance. IUCN Red List The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™ is widely recognized as the most comprehensive, objective global approach for evaluating the conservation status of plant and animal species. *** From 53 parks that have participated in the survey, 51 parks have provided information on endangered species. Lists of endangered species per parks and countries are available in the following pages. 2 Contents Q.10. “MAGIC NUMBERS” ................................................................................................................................................ 2 The Birds Directive ........................................................................................................................................................ 2 The Habitats Directive .................................................................................................................................................. 2 IUCN Red List ................................................................................................................................................................ 2 I. Despite the proximity of Sredna Gora Mountains to Sofia, the insect assemblages of this region are poorly studied. As a result of two studies carried out as a part of an Environmental Impact Assessment in the Natura 2000 Protected Areas: Sredna Gora and Popintsi, a rich diversity of insects was discovered, with 107 saproxylic and epigeobiont Coleoptera species and 355 Lepidoptera species recorded. This research was conducted during a short one-season field study in the surrounding areas of the town of Panagyurishte and Oborishte Village. Special attention was paid to protected species and their conservation status. Of the Coleoptera recorded, 22 species were of conservation significance. Forty-five Lepidoptera species of conservation importance were also recorded. KEY WORDS.WORDS.

This holiday, as for every Honeyguide holiday, also puts something into conservation in our host country by way of a contribution to the wildlife that we enjoyed, in this case for La Sociedad Española de Ornitología (SEO), the Spanish Ornithological Society, and its work in Aragón. The conservation contribution this year of £40 per person was supplemented by gift aid through the Honeyguide Wildlife Charitable Trust, leading to a total of £440 This donation brings the total given to SEO since the first Honeyguide holiday in Spain in 1991 to £16,745 (through all Honeyguide holidays, mostly the Spanish Pyrenees and Extremadura). As at July 2016, the total for all conservation contributions through Honeyguide since 1991 was £108,716. 2 DAILY DIARY Wednesday 15 June: The way there… What should have been a simple journey, Stansted to Biarritz then minibus to Berdún, had by 8pm turned out rather differently. After a series of delays due to thundery weather our flight eventually got onto French tarmac an hour late, where we were held on the plane because of the heavy rain, although any benefit from that was soon negated when we had to wait outside, in the continuing deluge, while another plane took off.

  • Boletín De Avisos Fitosanitarios Forestales
MES DE FEBRERO 2013 Boletín de Avisos Fitosanitarios Forestales Coníferas PROCESIONARIA DEL PINO Nombre científico: Thaumetopoea pityocampa. Orden: Lepidoptera. Familia: Thaumetopoeidae. Afecta a: Pinos y cedros. PERFORADORES DE PINOS Nombre científico: Ips sexdentatus. Orden: Coleoptera. Familia: Scolytidae. Afecta a: Pinos, abetos, píceas, alerces y cedros.

Esperiana Band 19: 263-296 Bad Staffelstein; 26.
