2017 NFL Pro Bowl Marked by Events at Disney, Throughout Orlando During Weeklong Celebration 2017 NFL Pro Bowl Marked By Events at Disney, Throughout Orlando During Weeklong Celebration The 2017 Pro Bowl presented by Aquafina in Orlando, Fla. brought so much more than a game on Sunday; it featured a week-long celebration that united and inspired the entire football community. In the week leading up to Sunday’s game, the NFL hosted events that brought interactive fan experiences, youth and high school football competitions and a spirit of community to Orlando. The festivities started Wednesday, Jan. 25 when NFL fans took over ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex to catch their NFL heroes in action during AFC and NFC team practices. Fans not only had the chance to take in practices throughout the week, but they also got to put their own athleticism to the test in the NFL Pro Bowl Experience, a family-friendly football fan festival with interactive games and activities. Fans could run an agility course, practice long snapping, throw passes and even run the 40-yard dash, complete with a video board of Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to “race” against. Fans also had the opportunity to hit the ground running at Epcot, for the Pro Bowl 5K race, and at Disney Springs, NFL cheerleaders and team mascots joined in fun with a Pro Bowl Bash dance party to get the fans hyped. And in true Disney fashion, the fun was accented with a celebration parade at Magic Kingdom Park on Friday afternoon, when five Pro Bowlers — wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders from the Denver Broncos, tight ends Greg Olsen from the Carolina Panthers and Delanie Walker from the Tennessee Titans and Ryan Shazier from the Pittsburgh Steelers — were honored for their successes on the field. The week-long celebration culminated with the Pro Bowl game featuring 88 of the NFL’s best players on Sunday, Jan. 29 at Camping World Stadium. .

  • Kiszla: There's Only One Way Beautiful Bro-Mance Between Broncos Chris
Kiszla: There’s only one way beautiful bro-mance between Broncos Chris Harris Jr. and Von Miller can continue beyond 2019 By Mark Kiszla Denver Post July 18, 2019 The two most essential pieces for Denver this season? Shaq and Kobe … or Chris and Von, if your heart bleeds orange. Before the Broncos even don the pads, there’s already a controversy at training camp. Von Miller and Chris Harris Jr., the two best players on the team, are bickering like brothers. “We are like Shaq and Kobe,” Harris said Wednesday, comparing the Broncos’ stellar defensive tandem to the legendary Los Angeles Lakers of yore. So being the intrepid reporter, I asked: Which one is Shaquille O’Neal? And who is Kobe Bryant? Harris immediately piped up: “He’s Shaq.” And Miller retorted: “I’m definitely Kobe.” Children, please. Try to behave. We all know the Broncos haven’t been on the same page – or in the NFL playoffs — since Super Bowl 50. So it appears Harris and Miller are already in mid-season form, even before new coach Vic Fangio is forced to toss aside his beloved gray sweats in the sweltering July heat. Yes, Miller and Harris are just messing with each other about the Shaq and Kobe stuff. So let’s get down to serious business: How good should Broncos Country expect their favorite team to be in 2019? “I’ll let you guys set that. We know what our goals are,” said GM John Elway, his trademark swagger stuck in a revolving door of failed quarterbacks during the past three seasons.

Von Miller, Phillip Lindsay selected to 2019 Pro Bowl; Three Broncos tabbed as alternates By Aric DiLalla DenverBroncos.com December 19, 2018 Outside linebacker Von Miller and running back Phillip Lindsay have been selected to the 2019 Pro Bowl, the NFL announced Tuesday. Miller has now been selected to the Pro Bowl seven times, and he has been chosen every year since 2014. His 14.5 sacks this season are tied for second in the NFL. To read more about Miller’s Pro Bowl season, click here. Lindsay, meanwhile, becomes the first undrafted offensive rookie to earn a Pro Bowl bid. The Colorado product ranks in the top five in the NFL in rushing yards, rushing average and rushing touchdowns. He currently has 991 yards and nine touchdowns through 14 games. To read more about Lindsay’s Pro Bowl season, click here. The Broncos also had three players named alternates for the 2019 Pro Bowl. Cornerback Chris Harris Jr., wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and outside linebacker Bradley Chubb were all tabbed as alternates. Harris tallied three interceptions, one sack and 49 tackles during his 12 starts in 2018. In Week 7, he returned one of those picks for a touchdown. He suffered a leg injury in Week 13 against the Bengals. Sanders, who suffered an Achilles injury in practice ahead of the Broncos’ game against the 49ers, tallied 71 catches for 868 yards and four receiving touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown this season. The Broncos placed Sanders on IR ahead of their Week 14 game.

  • Broncos' Emmanuel Sanders Sheds Walking Boot After Achilles Surgery
LOOK: Broncos’ Emmanuel Sanders sheds walking boot after Achilles surgery By Kyle Fredrickson Denver Post Feb. 6, 2019 If Emmanuel Sanders’ dance moves are any indication, he’s reached an important milestone in his injury rehabilitation this offseason. Sanders, a ninth-year Broncos’ wide receiver who tore his Achilles during practice in December, posted a video Monday to Instagram of himself hopping out of a black Mercedes-Benz SUV — without a walking boot — before a quick celebratory jig. His caption read: “Slight limp but I’m finally out of the boot.” Two months have passed between Sanders’ injury and the post, but a long journey remains for him to be able to play. Former NFL team doctor David Chao told The Denver Post in December: “Recovery is not like a light switch, more of a slow sunrise. Some have returned as early as six months but may not have been 100 percent. Nine months is a good target but to really be explosive (it) could be longer and closer to a year. This is why I expect (Sanders) likely will not be ready or 100 percent for start of (the 2019) season.” However, Sanders expressed little doubt in December he’ll return to being the same playmaker he showcased in 12 games last season with a team-leading 71 receptions for 868 yards. He also accounted for six total touchdowns (four receiving, one rushing and one passing). “I’ll definitely for sure be ready for Week 1,” Sanders said in December. “This is a six-month injury. I heal fast.” Never-before-told stories about Pat Bowlen from those who know him best — his children By Mike Klis 9 News Feb.
