THE CENTRAL MARKET
The Central Market is usually on the must-see lists of visitors to the capital. When it was completed in 1937, it was said to be the largest market in Asia. Build by the French, the Central Market is a unique style that is a charming mix of French design and traditional Khmer decoration. Good deals on clothing and souvenirs can be found in the market, and the recently restored structure can be enjoyed while shopping.

Located inside the walls of the imperial citadel, this particular garden house was built over 50 years ago. History buffs will particularly enjoy visiting the Y Thao Garden House as the location also houses a collection of ceramics from former dynasties in Hue. The wife of the owner is a renowned cook and they have transformed their garden house into a place that specialises in the cuisine of Hue.
