Hadeland Lag’s visit to , June, 2015 Tentative schedule - as of October 18, 2014

Below, we have outlined the current plans of the Hadeland Host Committee for our Lag’s visit to Hadeland and the ten- tative schedule for the 8-day tour in Norway that will take place immediately after our week-long visit in Hadeland. We expect that there may be some adjustments or changes to this visit and the tour as more concrete plans are formulated. How- ever, we want our Hadeland Lag members to see these current plans so that you can decide whether or not you will be travel- ing with us on this opportunity to visit Hadeland, the area from which our ancestors emigrated. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Good luck in your planning. Verlyn and Evonne Anderson (218) 233-0685 E-mail: [email protected]

American visitors will be picked up at the airport in the afternoon by bus and transported to the Sanner Hotel in Hadeland. Each participant will pay their own hotel and meal costs at the Sanner Hotel for the days that we are in Hadeland. These will be payable before you leave the hotel. You will only pay for the dinners that you eat at the hotel; some of you may have the opportunity to enjoy a dinner(s) with friends or relatives. Let the hotel personnel know a day ahead of time if you don’t plan to eat dinner at the hotel and you won’t be charged for that meal. Costs of the Week in Hadeland can vary as the rate of exchange may change. Preliminary estimated costs for the days in Hadeland per person, double occupancy, are as follows (based on current rate of exchange):

7 nights with breakfast in double room at 540 kroner ($90) per person, per day $630 6 dinners at 250 kroner ($42) each $252 1 banquet on Saturday, June 20 at 420 kroner each $ 70 Total estimated hotel costs: $952

Cost for single room for 7 nights with breakfast is an additional 200 kroner per day which would then total 1400 kroner or $235, for a total of $865 for a single room in the Sanner Hotel for 7 nights. If you stay at the hotel during any of the days and wish to have lunch there, it will cost 300 kroner or about $50 per lunch. This is a full buffet lunch so that is why it is so expensive.
