COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS PLACE CENTER BRANDON DUBINSKY ON LONG-TERM INJURED RESERVE

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The have placed center Brandon Dubinsky on Long-Term Injured Reserve, club General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Dubinsky, 34, has not appeared in a game since the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, missing all of the 2019-20 campaign due to a chronic wrist injury. Acquired by the Blue Jackets via from the on July 23, 2012, he tallied 72 goals and 153 assists for 225 points with 448 minutes in 430 games with the club. He ranks fifth on the club’s all-time assist list, stands sixth in penalty minutes, seventh in points and 10th in goals.

The Anchorage, Alaska native was a second-round pick, 30th overall, by the Rangers at the 2004 NHL Draft and registered 153-285-438 and 905 penalty minutes in 823 career NHL games. He set career highs in goals and points in a season with 24-30-54 and 100 penalty minutes in 77 games with New York in 2010-11. His best season as a Blue Jacket was 2013-14 when he notched 16-34-50 and 98 penalty minutes in 76 contests, setting a career high in assists.

The Blue Jackets return to action on Tuesday when they host the Florida Panthers. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports Ohio and the FOX Sports Go app with coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the “Blue Jackets Live” pre-game show. The contest will also be aired live nationally on NHL Network.
