La Monarquía Española En El Cine Y La Televisión Extranjeros
V CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL DE HISTORIA Y CINE: ESCENARIOS DEL CINE HISTÓRICO LA MONARQUÍA ESPAÑOLA EN EL CINE Y LA TELEVISIÓN EXTRANJEROS ALBERTO PAZ MOLINA Universidad Carlos m de Madrid Resumen La monarquía española ha sido uno de los temas históricos que más veces se ha visto adaptado al cine en España. Esta comunicación busca un nuevo enfoque sobre el mismo terna, analizando el modo en que la monarquía española aparece reflejada en el cine extranjero. Para ello se comentarán las apariciones de cada rey en dichas peüculas, comenzando por el siglo XV con los Reyes Católicos y llegando hasta el siglo XIX con Isabel II, para después exponer unas valoraciones que contemplarán parámetros corno la historicidad, el posicionamiento frente al personaje o las razones por las que dicho monarca es llevado a la pantalla. En las conclusiones se tratará de hallar patrones a los que respondan dichas adaptaciones de forma justificada y con ejemplos concretos. Palabras clave: monarquía española, cine, siglo XV, adaptaciones, cine histórico, literatura, animación, cine extranjero. Abstract The Spanish Monarchy has been one of the most comrnon History topics adapted for the film industry in Spain. The aim of this paper is to look for a new vision of the same subject, analyzing how the Spanish Monarchy is reflected in the film industry outside Spain. In order to explain this, the different appearances of every single Monarch in those filrns will be commented, from the 15th Century with the Catholic Monarchs to the 19th with the reign of Isabel 11. After these reviewings, the final valuations will be including a Li st of parameters such as historical accuracy, the stance taken from the character, or the reasons explaining why the Monarch is appearing in the film . -

THE AERONAUTS Alla Festa Del Cinema Di Roma: Eddie Redmayne e Felicity Jones di nuovo insieme a bordo della mongolfiera di Tom Harper - di Alessia de Antoniis 19/10/2019 La storia di Amelia Wren e dell’ambizioso meterologo James Glaisher, che nel 1862 vogliono far progredire la conoscenza del tempo atmosferico e di volare più in alto di chiunque altro nella storia. Mentre stabiliscono primati e portano avanti la ricerca scientifica, il loro percorso di vita, condotto fino a limiti estremi, porta l’inverosimile coppia a trovare un posto in quel mondo che i due, dalle mongolfiere, vedono così lontano e piccolo. In un clima vittoriano e un'ambientazione che rammenta scene disneyane Tom Harper mette in scena il volo in mongolfiera da record di Glaisher e del suo collega scienziato Henry Coxwell, qui sostituito da una regina dei cieli glamour, l'immaginaria Amelia Wren. The Aeronauts è un film fantastico tratto da una storia vera, per la quale Harper e il suo sceneggiatore Jack Thorne si sono ispirati al libro Falling Upwards: How We Took the Air, di Richard Holmes. Tom Harper riunisce Eddie Redmayne e Felicity Jones, già protagonisti de La teoria del tutto. Redmayne interpreta ancora una volta uno scienziato, il pioniere della meteorologia James Glaisher, Jones interpreta un'aeronautica immaginaria, Amelia Wren, che si ritrova a doverlo aiutare. C'è suspense, avventura e qualcosa di esotico in un film che ricorda, in alcune scene, i cieli di Londra attraversati da Peter Pan con le vedute dall'altro della Londra ottocentesca. La mongolfiera sembra uno dei giocattoli della stanza di Mary Poppins, il metereologo Glaisher parte in camicia e giacca da marinaio rischiando si morire assiderato a 11.000 metri d'altezza, Amelia non ha i guanti e non le si congelano le mani. -

SCREEN INTERNATIONAL AND BFI LONDON FILM FESTIVAL REVEAL UK STARS OF TOMORROW 2015 London, Monday 5 October 2015: Screen International has today revealed its 2015 UK Stars of Tomorrow, a showcase of the UK and Ireland’s newest and most exciting actors, directors, writers and producers, eagerly-anticipated by the international film industry. They are being presented for the first time in a high-profile industry event at the BFI London Film Festival held in partnership with American Express (7-18 October). Following last year’s successful collaboration between the Festival and Stars of Tomorrow, this year’s talent will be introduced to leading lights from the international film industry in London for the Festival, including US casting directors, European and US producers, festival programmers and international filmmakers. The Stars of Tomorrow featured in a special photoshoot at BFI Southbank, published in industry trade magazine Screen International, will also be the special guests at an exclusive industry dinner during the Festival, hosted by British Council and the Casting Society of America (CSA). For all of us Barbara’s name has become synonymous with Brief Encounter the Society and with the enormous programme of activity and events that has marked her hugely successful period as Design For Living Chairman. She has decided to move on to pursue her desire to support the work of the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Coward Celebrations Families Association (SSAFA). We wish her well with her new role and commitments and celebrate her contribution to the work of the Society in our centre pages recalling the highlights of her time with us.
