Tickets can also be purchased online at www.GoDuke.com. Credentials All media and photographers attending Duke basketball home games must wear proper media credentials. Requests for credentials should be made in advance by mail, email or fax on company stationery and directed to Associate Sports Information Director Lindy Brown. Duke reserves the right to refuse any credential request deemed not to be in the best interest of the University. Facilities All home Blue Devil basketball games are played at Cameron Indoor Stadium, located at the end of Whitford Drive across from Wallace Wade Stadium. Cameron Indoor Stadium can also be reached from Towerview Road. Parking Parking for the media is available for home contests. Working press can request parking passes from Associate Sports Information Director Lindy Brown. All requests should be made in advance by mail, email or fax. Media Accommodations During the game, media will be seated at tables located on the floor level on the west side of Cameron Indoor Stadium. Media guides, notes and statistics, as well as work 14 areas, are located in the press room on the north side of Cameron. Access to the booths is through section six off the upper concourse.     WBCA Announces Finalists for the 2012 RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA Division I Coach of the Year ATLANTA (March 22, 2012) - Muffet McGraw of Notre Dame, Brenda Frese of Maryland, Tom Collen of Arkansas, Curt Miller of Bowling Green, Kim Mulkey of Baylor, Coquese Washington of Penn State, Reagan Pebley of Utah State and Tara VanDerveer of Stanford are the 2012 RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Regional Coaches of the Year, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced today. The regional honorees - McGraw (region 1), Frese (region 2), Collen (region 3), Miller (region 4), Mulkey (region 5), Washington (region 6), Pebley (region 7), VanDerveer (region 8) - are finalists for the 2012 RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA Division I National Coach of the Year award. The winner will be announced during the second annual WBCA Awards Show on Monday, April 2, in Denver. This event is part of the WBCA National Convention and is held in conjunction with the NCAA® Women's Final Four®. "The WBCA congratulates these eight coaches on being named finalists for this year's Division I Coach of the Year award," said WBCA CEO Beth Bass. What is your perception of the role of Young Trustee? “The reason for including students on the Board of Trustees was ... to get younger members on the Board ... whose viewpoint, close to students, would be a valuable addition.” ­ Terry Sanford on the role of the Young Trustee The Young Trustee is a full voting member of Duke’s governing body for two years of a three­ year term. Thus, the Young Trustee is first a Trustee, with the primary goal of minding Duke’s best interests, and second, a Board member with the unique undergraduate perspective fresh in mind. Similar to Sanford’s perspective, I believe the Young Trustee’s role is to offer the unique perspective of a current or recently graduated student. A typical Duke student is engrossed in a fundamentally different environment in college and post­college than most Trustees were. This distinctive position allows him or her to offer new insights into various questions that a typical Board member may not have. An ideal Young Trustee understands the complexities of life at Duke and should be able to translate that viewpoint into actionable policy. It is important to note that a Young Trustee is not an advocate of any group or its mission, but rather serves as a representative for the general student body’s issues. He or she must embody a typical Duke student and must have an excellent comprehension of problems that concern the student body.

It is a catalyst...a spark that creates extraordinary results.” For Seminole head coach Sue Semrau, a positive outlook with a positive attitude will be essential as she embarks on her eighth season at the helm of the Florida State program. While the Florida State women’s basketball team has made great strides on the court in recent years, it has been dealt more than its share of heartache off of the court, especially over the past two years. Semrau, however, has chosen to respectfully move forward and will rely on her faith and her strength as she leads the Florida State women’s basketball program onward as well. “True leaders are not those who strive to be first but those who are first to strive and who give their all for the success of the team. True leaders are first to see the need, envision the plan, and empower the team for action. By the strength of the leader’s commitment, the power of the team is unleashed.” Semrau has tried to pattern her coaching philosophies after coaches that she admires and respects. One of those coaches is Florida State’s very own Bobby Bowden. Sure, who wouldn’t want to imitate the actions of a coaching legend?
