The 1Arrupeâ Program is the Australian Jesuit Province’s program for the formation of Givers of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises and Spiritual Directors in the Ignatian tradition. Jesuit College of Spirituality is the sole provider of this program on behalf of the Society of (Australia-New Zealand).

• Named in honour of Pedro Arrupe, Father General of the (the Jesuits) from 1965 to 1983. • Aims to help participants become Spiritual Directors in the Ignatian tradition and Givers of the Spiritual Exercises of . • Is offered by the Jesuit College of Spirituality, which is a work of the Australian Jesuits and a College of the University of Divinity. • The Arrupe® Program is a 3-year formation program. • The Arrupe® Program is open to local, national and international students.

Prerequisites Interviews

(i) a sense of call to the ministry of Ignatian spiritual direction; Applicants will be contacted for an interview. (ii) an experience of making the full Spiritual Exercises as (a) a thirty-day enclosed silent retreat, or Program Costs (b) a 35-week retreat in daily life; (iii) has obtained or is qualified to obtain a Bachelor degree from the Fees University of Divinity or from a recognised university or college;or 2017 cost per unit is $2,286.
