  • MULTIPLE OWNERSHIP CONSIDERATIONS Blueberry Broadcasting, LLC
EXHIBIT 5 (Page 1 of 8) MULTIPLE OWNERSHIP CONSIDERATIONS Blueberry Broadcasting, LLC. The proposed modifications to the WMCM(FM) and WQSS(FM) operating facilities will continue to comply with the local radio ownership restrictions outlined in Section 73.3555 of the FCC Rules. WMCM and WQSS have and will continue to have overlap with four other commonly owned stations in the area:1 WABK-FM - Gardner, Maine WVQM(FM)- Augusta, Maine WBAK(FM) - Belfast, Maine WVOM(AM) - Rockland, Maine Neither WMCM nor WQSS is considered to be “home” to any Nielsen Audio metro market. Furthermore, neither Rockland nor Camden is located within the boundaries of any metro market. For this reason, as required by Paragraph 286 of the FCC’s July 2, 2003 Report and Order and Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in MB Dockets 02-277, 01- 235, 01-317, 00-244, and 03-130, it was necessary to conduct contour overlap studies2 for these commonly owned stations. Figure 5.0 is a map exhibit depicting the principal community contours for these six stations. The 5 mV/m daytime contour for WVOM was projected utilizing the notified daytime facilities from the FCC’s Consolidated Database System (“CDBS”) and soil con- ductivity data from FCC Figure M3. The 3.16 mV/m contours for WABK-FM, WVQM, 1Blueberry Broadcasting has other commonly owned stations in the area, but they do not have any principal community contour overlap with WMCM or WQSS and, therefore, were not analyzed as part of this analysis. Nor were they counted as stations in the market if their site was inside the composite con- tour.

A History of Oysters in Maine (1600s-1970s) This is a history of oyster abundance in Maine, and the subsequent decline of oyster abundance. It is a history of oystering, oyster fisheries, and oyster commerce in Maine. It is a history of the transplanting of oysters to Maine, and experiments with oysters in Maine, and of oyster culture in Maine. This history takes place from the 1600s to the 1970s. 17th Century {}{}{}{} In early days, oysters were to be found in lavish abundance along all the Atlantic coast, though Ingersoll says it was at least a small number of oysters on the Gulf of Maine coast.86, 87 Champlain wrote that in 1604, "All the harbors, bays, and coasts from Chouacoet (Saco) are filled with every variety of fish.

  • Called on the Trump Administration
July 2, 2020 President Donald J. Trump The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20500 Dear Mr. President: We represent the sponsors, businesses, and industries that recruit, host, and support Exchange Visitor Program participants every year. We are opposed to the inclusion of J-1 visa programs in the June 22 Presidential proclamation suspending some nonimmigrant visas through December 31, 2020. We request that the Administration use the 30-day review required by the proclamation to enable these programs to continue. As part of the Administration’s foreign policy tools, there has always been strong support for people-to-people diplomacy programs. Exchange Visitor Program participants support our economy by enabling year-round American employment in local communities and among families. Without cultural exchange participants, many American host employers will have to cut back services to customers, reducing already diminished revenue, which could lead to lay-offs of American employees. These programs are important to American businesses as many host employers have unique needs, such as being located in rural, low population areas. Families also benefit, for example, from having au pairs who provide live- in childcare and cultural enrichment. Additionally, cultural exchange programs such as Camp Counselor, Intern and Trainee, and Summer Work Travel combined contribute more than $1.2 billion to the American economy each year. By law, these participants do not displace American workers. The impact on the international exchange community from the pandemic alone is projected to result in losses to our economy of more than $233 million and nearly 7,000 American jobs.

Journal of Coastal Research SI 36 333-339 (ICS 2002 Proceedings) Northern Ireland ISSN 0749-0208 Seafloor Features and Characteristics of the Black Ledges Area, Penobscot Bay, Maine, USA. Allen M. Gontz, Daniel F. Belknap and Joseph T. Kelley Department of Geological Sciences, 111 Bryand Global Science Center, University of Maine, Orono, Maine, USA04469-5790. [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] ABSTRACT The Black Ledges, a series of islands, shoals, and ledges in East Penobscot Bay, Maine, was mapped with digital sidescan sonar and shallow marine seismic reflection equipmentA total of 38 km2 of sidescan and 600 km of seismic data was collected during four cruises in 2000-2001. The sidescan sonar reveals a surficial geology dominated by muddy sediments with frequent, patchy outcrops of gravel and minor amounts of bedrock. There are seven large concentrations of pockmarks with populations totaling over 3500 in the areas of muddy sediments. Generally circular, pockmarks range in size from five to 75 meters in diameter and up to eight meters deep. Calculations show over 2 x 106 m3 of muddy sediment and pore water were removed from the system during pockmark formation. Seismic data reveal a simple stratigraphy of modern mud overlying late Pleistocene glaciomarine sediment, till and Paleozoic bedrock. Seismic data indicate areas of gas-rich sediments and gas- enhanced reflectors in close association with pockmarks, suggesting methane seepage as a cause of pockmark formation. Pockmarks are alsorecognized in areas lacking evidence of subsurface methane accumulations adding further validity to the late stage of development for the field.

AMERICAN CAMP ASSOCIATION, NEW ENGLAND • NOVEMBER 2008 the COMMUNICATE FINDING CAMP ON eBAY Gaile Schafer, who went to and worked at Camp Wawenock in Maine and sent both of her sons to Camp Pemigewassett in New Hampshire, was at her computer in Ohio one day, browsing eBay. “I don’t know what made me do it in the first place,” she said, “but I typed in ‘Wawenock.’” What began as a whim has since become her own personal challenge to find Wawenock ephemera to give back to the camp for its archive. “Once you have one lucky find, you can’t let it go,” said Gaile. On eBay, the aphorism ‘one person’s trash is another person’s treasure’ comes alive. Taking Gaile’s lead, I went trawling through eBay for merchandise from our accredited camps and came up with plenty of small tokens, including a luggage tag from Pinecliffe; postcards from O-AT-KA, Alford Lake, and New England Music Camp; a yearbook from Fernwood; a staff tank top from Kingsley Pines; a 1921 magazine ad for Luther Gulick Camps for Girls; a 1929 application for Timanous, filled out; and a book called The Camp Fire Girls at Camp Keewaydin; or, Down Paddles, by Hildegard G. Frey. I contacted several of the sellers, and few of them knew anything about the camps from which they’d collected paraphernalia. Herb Oberman, who had posted a 1941 camp photo from Walden, said he had no personal connection there, though he had attended YMCA and Boy Scout camps as a child in Michigan.
