STEHR and EDWIN F. COOK SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION PRESS CITY OF WASHINGTON 1968 PUBLICATIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NATIONAL MUSEUM The scientific publications of the United States National Museum include two series. Proceedings of the United States National Museum and United States National Museum Bulletin. In these series are published original articles and monographs dealing with the collections and work of the Museum and setting forth newly acquired facts in the field of anthropology, biology, geology, history, and technology. Copies of each publication are distributed to libraries and scientific organizations and to specialists and others interested in the various subjects. The Proceedings, begun in 1878, are intended for the publication, in separate form, of shorter papers. These are gathered in volumes, octavo in size, with the publication date of each paper recorded in the table of contents of the volume. In the Bulletin series, the first of which was issued in 1875, appear longer, separate publications consisting of monographs (occasionally in several parts) and volumes in which are collected works on related subjects. Bulletins are either octavo or quarto in size, depending on the needs of the presentation. Since 1902, papers relating to the botanical collections of the Museum have been published in the Bulletin series under the heading Contributions from the United States National Herbarium. This work forms number 276 of the Bulletin series. -

Influenced heavily by the experiments of foreign talents, largely German, new concepts of cinematography, lighting, set de- sign, and special effects known as “trick shots,” per- meated American film-making methods. The somber and sometimes morbid themes of German cinema also seeped into their films, often to the chagrin of American exhibitors who preferred their own exuber- ant optimism and happy endings. “7th Heaven” characterizes a perfect blend of opti- mistic romantic fantasy and German influenced pro- duction design. It also became one of the most pop- ular films of the late silent era. Its opening title card set the tone: “For those who will climb it, there is a ladder leading from the depths to the heights - from the sewer to the stars - the ladder of Courage.” Based on a hugely successful play by Austin Strong which ran at the Booth Theatre on Broadway from October 30, 1922, to May 21,1924 for a total of 685 performances, it portrayed the travails of young lov- An advertisement from a June 1927 edition of Motion ers who meet amidst the sordid gutters of pre-World Picture News. DIY Sovereignty and the Popular Right in Australia
DIY Sovereignty and the Popular Right in Australia Judy Lattas Macquarie University [email protected] Abstract The concern of this paper is with the form that ‘right wing’ anti-government protest has taken in Australia in recent years. One tactic that is proving popular amongst those who have suffered setbacks in their hold on property, or in their small business ventures, is to declare their secession from Australia, and to establish an alternative jurisdiction and alternative citizenship. The author describes some of these projects, and links the serious political pursuit of this secessionist move to a movement in the USA called Sovereign Citizenship, which is itself linked to recent acts of anti-government sabotage called ‘paper terrorism’. I want to take up the conference theme of ‘Mobile Boundaries/Rigid Worlds’ in relation to the recent popularity in Australia of creating new countries - on a small scale, of course - in ‘do it yourself’ (DIY) projects involving a declaration of sovereignty and autonomy. Sometimes it is an experiment in citizenship or just for fun, but it is often done in protest. What I have in mind are those people, for example, who have declared their legal secession from Australia and formed their own principalities, like His Royal Highness Prince Leonard of the Hutt River Province Principality in Western Australia. While the story of Prince Leonard is legendary, others who are more contemporary are not well known. Commentators call these people micronationalists, which is a term that was coined in the 1990s to describe the activity that was pioneered by Prince Leonard of Hutt. -
Jessica Biel
Jessica Biel Jessica Biel is a Hollywood sex symbol: Every guy dreams about her, and every women dreams of looking like her. Born on March 3, 1982, she always had an interest in all things theatrical, taking voice and dance lessons as a child. At age 11, she took part in a modeling competition and won an acting scholarship for a school in Los Angeles. She landed her breakout role on the family drama 7th Heaven, playing Mary Camden. She then appeared in films like Ulee’s Gold and I’ll Be Home for Christmas. After a year of college, she went back to L.A. to focus on acting, nabbing roles in Summer Catch, Rules of Attraction, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Blade: Trinity, Stealth, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Valentine’s Day, and Hitchcock. Off-camera, the actress supports numerous social causes, and most recently, she used her celebrity status to help turn the spotlight on the global water crisis. At the start of her career, Jessica Biel dated Adam LaVorgna, who she met on the set of I’ll Be Home for Christmas. The young famous couple made it work for three years before they split. She started dating Chris Evans in 2004, and soon after their celebrity break-up, she was spotted spending a lot of time with baseball player Derek Jeter. Although they only lasted a year, they sure did look good together! Then, the beautiful brunette broke all our hearts and took Justin Timberlake off the market. They started dating in 2007 and got hitched in Italy in October 2012. -

Pressive and Photographs So Beautifully, He Is Extremely Strong in This Role,” Comments Masterson
“YESTERDAY WAS A LIE” PRODUCTION INFORMATION A groundbreaking new noir film, YESTERDAY WAS A LIE is a “soulful and thought- provoking metaphysical journey” (Talking Pictures). Award-winning writer/director James Kerwin -- “one of these young guys on the edge of a digital revolution” (Soundwaves Cinema) -- crafts a thrilling, intricate detective drama that teases the boundaries of reality. Kipleigh Brown “exudes Bacall” (Slice of SciFi) as Hoyle, a girl with a sharp mind and a weak- ness for bourbon who finds herself on the trail of a reclusive genius (John Newton). But her work takes a series of unforeseen twists as events around her grow increasingly fragmented... discon- nected... surreal. With a sexy lounge singer (Chase Masterson) and a loyal partner (Mik Scriba) as her only allies, Hoyle is plunged into a dark world of intrigue and earth-shattering cosmological secrets. Haunted by an ever-present shadow (Peter Mayhew) whom she is destined to face, Hoyle discovers that the most powerful force in the universe -- the power to bend reality, the power to know the truth -- lies within the depths of the human heart. “Like Blade Runner before it, YESTERDAY WAS A LIE manages to meld film noir and science fiction into a fresh new world unlike anything we’ve seen be- fore” (iF Magazine). Also starring Nathan Mobley, Warren Davis, Megan Henning, Jennifer Slimko, and famed ra- dio personality Robert Siegel. 2 ABOUT THE PRODUCTION YESTERDAY WAS A LIE is the brainchild of writer/director James Kerwin, who made a splash in 2000 with his multi-festival-award-winning short film Midsummer. -

1 Nesara History True Story! Aug 28/10 Print Saturday, 28 August 2010 11:03 Monday, May 24, 2010 Partial history of the true NESARA Law by James Rink With all their power and money the bankers thought themselves to be above the law, but cracks were now appearing in their foundations. Angry Americans were beginning to fight back. A class action lawsuit was brewing which would threaten to change the balance of power. This change began in the mid 1970’s, when the Federal Land Bank illegally foreclosed on farmers mortgages all throughout the Midwest. In each of these cases the farmers were defrauded by the banks with the approval of the Federal Reserve System. These court cases would eventually become known as the farmer claims program. In 1978 an elderly ranch farmer in Colorado purchased a farm with loan from the Federal Land Bank; after he died the property was passed on to his son Roy Schwasinger Jr., who was a retired military general. Soon after a Federal Land Bank officer and Federal Marshall appeared on his property and informed him the bank was foreclosing on (utmäta) his farm and to vacate within 30 days. Without his knowledge, his deceased father signed a stipulation (avtal) which reverted the property back to the Federal Land Bank in the event of the borrower’s death. Outraged, Roy Schwasinger filed a class action lawsuit (ung. lämna in ansökan om åtal) in the Denver Federal Court system. But the case didn’t go very far and the suit was dismissed from filing incorrectly. -
