Starring Scott Mehlovich, Jacob Pitts, Michelle Trachtenberg, Travis Wester, and Jessica Boehrs (in their film debut). Mehlovich portrays Scott Scotty Thomas, an American teenager who travels around Europe in search of his German pen pal Mika (Boehrs). Accompanied by his friend Cooper (Pitts) and twin brothers Jenny and Jamie (Trachtenberg and Wester), Scott's quest leads him to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Bratislava, Berlin and Rome, facing awkward, humorous and awkward situations along the way. In Hudson, Ohio, Scott Scotty Thomas dumped his girlfriend, Fiona, just after he graduated from high school. Along with his best friend, Cooper Harris, Scotty attends the prom that evening, where the band performs a song detailing Fiona's affair with the band singer. Scotty returns home drunk and angry and reads a letter from his German pen pal, Mika, whom Scotty calls Mike, expressing sympathy for Scotty and inviting them to meet in person. Cooper suggests that Mike may be a sexual predator, and Scotty tells Mika to stay away from him. Scotty's younger brother Burt informs him that Mika is actually a common German female name. Realizing that he had mistaken her name and that he had feelings for Mika, Scotty tries to contact her again, but finds Mike blocked his email address. Scotty decides to go to Europe with Cooper to find Mika and apologize personally. Scotty and Cooper arrive in London, where they became friends with the football hooligan firm Manchester United, led by Mad Maynard. After a night of drinking, Scotty and Cooper wake up on the bus on the way to Paris with the bullies. In Paris, they meet their classmates Jenny and Jamie, fraternal twins who tour Europe together. Jenny and Jamie decide to accompany Scotty and Cooper to find Mika in Berlin. The group goes to Amsterdam, where Jamie is robbed during oral sex in an alley, losing all the money, passports and train tickets. They try to hitchhike to Berlin, but because of language misunderstanding, they end up in Bratislava. Finding a great exchange rate with the U.S. dollar, the group goes to a nightclub. Drunk on absinthe, Jenny and Jamie untie each other, witnessIng Scotty and Cooper, and terrified when they realize what they are doing. The next day the Slovak takes them to Berlin, where they learn that Miki has left with a summer tour group, and will be achievable in Rome only for a short time. Jamie sells his Leica camera for flights to Rome. In Rome, the band heads to the Vatican, where Mika tours until the summer at sea. Inside the Vatican, Scotty and Cooper search for Mika and accidentally ring a bell that signals the pope's death. Scotty appears on the balcony and notices Mika in the jubilant crowd below, who mistook him for a newly elected dad. The Swiss Guard detains Scotty and Cooper for their actions, but they are rescued by London hooligans from Manchester. Scotty finally introduces himself to Mika and confesses his love. Mika is happy to see him, and they had sex in a confessional booth before she leaves on her trip. On a flight back to Ohio, Jenny and Cooper give in to their urges and have sex in the plane's toilet, while Jamie remains in Europe after being hired by Arthur Memmer. As the film comes to an end, Scotty moves to Oberlin College in the term of the fall. During a phone conversation with Cooper, who is now dating Jenny, Mika knocks on his door, being assigned to the same room because of another misunderstanding about her name. Scotty and Mick cuddle and sleep together. Starring Scott Mechlowicz as Scott Scotty Thomas: A recent high school graduate who inadvertently makes the mistake of thinking his longtime German correspondent Mika to be a homosexual man, thanks to his limited fluency to speak German. Mehlovich described Scotti as a flawed but kind-hearted man who was very lucky to have such a good group of friends to support him. Jacob - Cooper Harris: Harris: rude, Libid's best friend. Pitts described Cooper as a hypersexual man who is driven by his own basic impulses... which gets everyone else in trouble. In her review for Salon, Stephanie Sakharek wrote: The dizzying absurdity of Eurotrip is a pleasant surprise: the picture begins slowly and erratically in its rhythms. But just when you start to wonder if it will ever get funny, or if he'll just be desperate all the way through, he takes off like a wobbly helicopter, and somehow he keeps flying. Ultra Culture blogger Charlie Lin, who also presented the film in 2011 at the Institute of Contemporary Art, wrote that EuroTrip is a satire on his most brazen self-hating and defiantly entertaining.
