• Land off Carlines Avenue, – Verbal confirmation had been received from County Council’s Estates and Valuation Section that in principle a road could be constructed across the Open Space to access the site but that Flintshire County Council would wish to do this as part of a planning application for the construction of up to five detached properties.

• Former Allotment Land to the rear of the Penarlag Estate – Flintshire County Council’s Estates and Valuation Department had identified the possibility of the Community Council leasing the former allotment land comprising approximately 3.25 acres, accessed from Upper Aston Hall Lane, Ewloe, plans and photographs of which were circulated for Members information. The Clerk said that Flintshire County Council had not identified this land previously when asked for available sites within the Community having confidentially advised that the land was being reserved for possible future use as a Cemetery. The Clerk said that the area had previously been subjected to soil testing, in view of previous tipping which had taken place on the land and adjacent to it, the report on which had been circulated and which identified that there were no issues on the former allotment land, witnessed by its cultivation until the mid 1980’s.

IT WAS RESOLVED:

(b) to note the expression of interest put forward in respect of land off Mancot Lane, Mancot.
