National Cinemedia to Bring Expanded Slate of Music Events to Movie Theatre Network Nationwide NATIONAL CINEMEDIA TO BRING EXPANDED SLATE OF MUSIC EVENTS TO MOVIE THEATRE NETWORK NATIONWIDE Agreement with Live Nation to Bring More Music Events to AMC, Cinemark, Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres DENVER, CO and Los Angeles, CA (May 8, 2006) – National CineMedia (NCM), the leader in the distribution and marketing of alternative digital content in movie theatres and Live Nation (NYSE: LYV), the world's largest diversified promoter and producer of live entertainment including music concerts and other special entertainment events, have entered into a non-exclusive content and cross-marketing agreement. The agreement was announced today by Tom Galley, NCM’s chief operations and technology officer and Faisel Durrani, president of marketing for Live Nation. The Live Nation events will be offered across NCM’s Digital Content Network (DCN), the world’s largest in-theatre digital satellite distribution network. NCM’s secure, state- of-the-art DCN reaches approximately 850 movie theatres and 11,000 screens in 49 of the top 50 DMAs at AMC, Cinemark, and Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC) locations, as well as additional theatres nationwide. Commenting on the agreement Mr. Galley said, “National CineMedia’s state-of-the-art Digital Content Network creates a unique experience for fans to enjoy their favorite entertainers’ performances on the big screen in comfortable, conveniently located stadium seating theatres. In-theatre events present a terrific alternative and unrivaled opportunity for fans to enjoy popular acts in an exhilarating atmosphere in their local community.” “We expect to continue developing multiple relationships within the music industry, providing a place for artists to connect with a wider audience beyond traditional performance locations. Our new agreement with Live Nation is an exciting step forward in the growth of NCM’s in-theatre events business, creating a winning formula for both performers and fans,” he added. “This relationship will play to the unique strengths of each of our companies while allowing us to provide fans a unique way of connecting with their favorite artists. Finding new product lines that allow music fans greater access to live entertainment is one of our primary goals at Live Nation,” said Mr. Durrani in announcing the new arrangement. National CineMedia has been marketing and distributing music content through its Big Screen Concert sTM division since 2002. In addition to distributing events on a pre- recorded basis to its entire network in a variety of formats, including HD with 5.1 audio, NCM can deliver live encrypted HD presentations to more than 120 movie theatres in 78 markets reaching nearly 100,000 seats nationwide. As access to content increases, NCM will continue to expand its live HD capabilities. Over the past four years, Big Screen Concerts has presented multiple events featuring top music industry names, including The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day, Bon Jovi, Prince, Phish, Usher, Beyoncé, Jimmy Buffett, Aerosmith, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, The Who and Coldplay, among others. Events under the new relationship will be announced in the coming weeks. On Wednesday, November 14 th , Brooks will play his final concert in a sold-out series of nine originating from the brand new Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo. The concert will be simulcast live to more than 300 movie theatres nationwide in association with National CineMedia’s FATHOM Events. The performance is being presented by Sprint, and captured and distributed by Horse of Troy Productions Inc., Jon Small/Picture Vision and AEG Network LIVE. “It’s things like this that make me praise technology,” said Garth Brooks. “The gift that AEG and NCM FATHOM participating theatres have given me is to be able to go on a virtual tour without leaving home. How does it get any better than that?” All tickets will be priced at $10 (plus applicable online service charges) and go on sale Friday, October 19 th at Noon in each local time zone at www.fathomevents.com or via www.garthbrooks.com . There is a limit of 10 tickets per person. An encore presentation of the concert will be rebroadcast in theatres on November 15 th .
