On 07.04.2015 one Anuj Kumar, Manager of Punjab & Sind Bank, Branch, Dist- Hooghly lodged a written complaint to the effect that on 07.04.15 at about 10.50 hrs around 8/9 unknown miscreants entered into the Bank and committed dacoity by showing fire arms and captured the gunman.They looted away the cash Rs. 5,60,000/- from vault and 1. 2. Cash Rs. 6.50 Lac ( approx) from the cash cabin. They overpowered by hitting him with arms and also snatched the gun from gunman. After that they locked all of them in the strong room from ouside and fled away. As per statement of eye witnesses the portrait Parley of CID, W.B prepared a sketch of the accused persons in c/w above reference case. All they waited inside the waiting room of the said Nurshing Home and keeping his bag to his daughter in law which the bag contain one license pistol bearing No. RP195740 by GSF/ 10F loaded seven rounds ammunition in the magazine along with another magazine with also loaded seven rounds ammunition, original license No. 01/2011. At about 15.50 hrs his wife and daughter in-law entered the chamber of said doctor on call. At about 17.30 hrs to 18.00 hrs they arrived at their own house at Haripur and on search the said bag was found, then and there he return to Ranigang Nursing Home and on asked the said Doctor return his bag and told that the sweeper recovered the bag from waiting room and deposit before him. On search he found that only original license along with one magazine containing seven round ammunition is present but the license pistol along with one magazine loaded with seven round are not present in that bag. On the basis of written complaint the above noted case was started. SI Arindam Mondal, I/C Panjabi More I/C under Ps Raniganj took up its investigation. All concerned are requested if any information about the stolen pistol along one magazine loaded with seven round ammunition is found, may kindly be intimated to Raniganj Ps.

During inspection Inspector found owner of the above shop Litan Mirdha S/o prafulla Mirdha of Sunalguri colony, PO- Gouranganagar, Ps- New Town, Kolkata-159 was engaged in storing & selling duplicated and counterfeited lubricating oil using the logo of Castrol Company infringing the Copy Right of the above Company. So he violated the provisions of Copy Right Act. 1957. Total 15 (Fifteen) pieces of Castrol lubricating oil containers were seized, which is value of Rs. 5000/- and arrested Litan Mirdha (owner of shop). Over this issue the above noted case was started and SI Jiban Krishna Kar of E.B, W.B has taken up its investigation.

Ref : Gangnapur Ps Case No. 38/15 dated- 14.03.15 U/s 395/397/376 IPC Adding section 212/216A IPC and GRPS Case No. 105/15 dated- 07.05.15 U/s 14 Foreigner’s Act.

On 07.05.15 in the evening a raid was held by a team of officers and men of CID W.B at area and two accused person, viz i) Milan Kumar Sarkar (42) S/o Late Debendra Sarkar of Vill- Bahirghoria, PO- Amjhuta, Ps- , Dist- Jessore, Bangladesh and ii) Ohidul Islam @ Babu (28) S/o Late Naimuddin Sardar of Vill- Mollapara, Amtala More, PO- Jessore, Ps- Kotwali, Dist- Jessore, Bangladesh were arrested in c/w Gangnapur Ps Case No. 38/15 dated- 14.3.15 U/s 395/397/376 IPC Add section 212/216A IPC from the Sealdah main section, near the ticket counter of the Railway Station. They confessed that they are Bangladeshi and they have entered into Indian mainland clanestinely on 07.05.15 through Indo-Bangladesh border and came to Sealdah from Bongaon for entering into Kolkata. On being asked they could not produce any valid document permitting their entrance into Indian mainland and accordingly Sealdah GRPS Case No. 105/15 dated- 07.05.15 U/s 14 Foreigner’s Act was started against them over a suo-motu complaint submitted by Inspector Vijay Yadav, O.C DRBT CID W.B. SI Joy Roy Chowdhury of DRBT CID WB took up its investigation of this case.
