Very large to decompose the resort, that is, bus transport can take time. There are no elevators at the resort, so guests with mobility problems will want to take note of this. What is a Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR)? The Caribbean beach resort opened on October 1, 1988, as Disney's first moderate resort. The hotel is themed after various islands, here called villages in the Caribbean and easily recognized its candy-colored buildings throughout the resort. The CBR resort has rooms in a colorful two-bedroom lake on the shore of a 42-acre lake. The buildings are clustered in 6 villages: Barbados, Martinique, Aruba, Jamaica, Trinidad North and Trinidad-south. Each building has 64 rooms. Each village has its own swimming pool, white sandy beach with hammocks and playgrounds, laundry, bus stop, and parking. You can identify villages by their colorful buildings: Jamaica yellow buildings with sky-blue roofs of Aruba pink and purple buildings with aqua roofs Barbados light blue buildings with coral roofs martinique corals and pink buildings with aqua roofs of Trinidad North and South light and dark coral buildings with dark coral roofs Colorful building in Jamaica Village This resort is very common and large. The farthest rooms in the old Port Royal main building are easily within 15 minutes. Disney's main Skyliner center is located in The Caribbean Beach, south of the Jamaican village, hosted by CBR in the prime location due to its easy access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios via Skyliner. The Caribbean beach is also close to Disney's Riviera resort. Guests in the village of Martinique can easily walk to the Riviera to take advantage of the Skyliner station located there. The Skyliner Hub at the Caribbean Beach Resort Central CBR is its 45 acre lake, Barefoot Bay, surrounded by a 1.1-mile waterfront that connects to winding paths leading to all rooms and common areas. The promenade is great for walking, jogging and cycling. In the center of the lake is Caribbean Kay, an island with a playground, a picnic area and plenty of lush foliage. Caribbean Kay is connected to the waterfront on each side by a footbridge. The Caribbean Kai Old Port Royale (OPR) is the main place of registration and activity. Here you will find The Centertown Market (the resort's main food court), The Sebastian Bistro (sitting restaurant), Calypso Trading Post (shops), Lobby Concierge, Bell Services, Goombay Games (arcade), large Fuentes del Morro pool (themed after Spanish fort), water slide, swamp pool and whirlpool. There is also a barefoot Marina Bay and a bicycle factory (bike rental), bus stop and parking. Walk between Port Royale: The most remote rooms are a 15-minute walk away. If the distance from OPR is important to you consider booking your preferred building. Be sure to check the resort's map when booking. The nearest buildings to ODA are on Martinique (in order of proximity: buildings 26, 25 and 24). The farthest buildings are in parts of Trinidad (buildings 37-39). The villages of Aruba and Jamaica are across the lake from ODA; some buildings (44-46 and 51-53) in these villages are quite close. If you wish, you can drive from the room to the ODA or use the internal bus. Because of the size of the resort and how it has spread, there are 7 bus stops throughout the resort, access to the Disney bus. There is also an internal shuttle service that operates daily to transport guests between villages and ODA. The Old Port Royal Entrance wheelchair available van is available at the resort for individuals to check in or out. What are numbers? There are no elevators in any of the buildings, only access to the stairs. Guests who cannot use the stairs should request rooms on the ground floor. All common amenities are available for wheelchairs. Most of the rooms have two queen beds, although several royal-sized beds are available. Up to four guests and one child under the age of 3 in the crib are allowed into the room. Beds are available for $15/night; call to reserve one in advance. Many rooms (but not all) have the ability to accommodate up to five, with the addition of a baby size folding bed. Rooms include two sinks outside the bathroom, cable TV/radio, armoire, table and chairs, phone, small wall safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, pack and play, and coffee maker. Additional coffee packages are also supplied. There should also be a fridge in the room - if it doesn't exist, request it; There is no fee. Bedboards, bed rails, extra blankets and pillows, cots and sharp containers are available through housekeeping. Free Wi-Fi is available. A small number of rooms on the pirate theme that is unique to this resort. These rooms have pirate ship-shaped beds and pirate decor all over the room. All rooms are open to a covered exterior and roughly the same layout and size. Connecting numbers are available. A small number of rooms are designed specifically for guests with a wheelchair. What should I expect to pay for a room at the Caribbean Beach Resort? Caribbean Beach Resort is considered a moderate resort and its prices are in the middle price range of Disney hotels. These are regular rates prices and do not include the Florida sales tax nor the county resort tax. Prices are based on double occupation. Free for children under the age of 17 when in the same room as adults. If You have more than two adults in the room, will be a $25 per night charge for each additional adult. A maximum of four per room, no room, a child under the age of 3 in a crib. Sometimes there are special rates for annual pass holders, AAA members, or Florida residents. Don't forget to find out when you call for a reservation! Walt Disney World Resort prices vary depending on the season (there are nine seasons now) as well as afternoon of the week. The holiday season is the most expensive time of year. It runs from mid-December to early January, as well as during Easter Week. Rest pools Each CBR village has a swimming pool, plus there is a Pirate themed main pool in Old Port Royale, with a nearby swamp pool and whirlpool. All pools are heated, making for a comfortable swim all year round. The whirlpool is very toasty. Bring towels from your room; they are not accessible by the pool, except for the Old Port Royal Basin. Housekeeping will be more than happy to replace towels taken from the room. The clock pools are seasonal and only the main pool has lifeguards on duty during official opening hours. The main pool can be crowded during the hot afternoon hours, and the seat space has a big premium. However, the village pools are rarely crowded, so you can try one of those if the main pool is full. The beaches of each village have a white sandy beach on the lake. (After all, it's a Caribbean resort!) The beaches have sunbeds and comfortable hammocks. Swimming in the lake is prohibited; however, you are invited to get wet in the adjacent village pools. Small playgrounds are located on the village beaches of Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad. Bicycles can be rented at the marina. The 1.1-mile promenade around the lake is great for cycling. In addition, the very fun Surrey bikes are designed to accommodate parties from 2 to 4. Volleyball - White Sand Volleyball Court is located on the beach of Barbados Village. Volleyball can be taken in the Marina building. Resort documents are required. Food Old Port Royale has a Centertown market open from 6am to with more limited hours for some counters. Breakfast includes bagels, fresh fruit, Mickey, eggs and breakfast meat. Lunch and dinner choices include burgers, pizza, pasta, deli sandwiches, sandwiches, and desserts. Spyglass Grill is a small fast service place next to the Trinidad Pool.
