Understanding, documentation and appropriate use of new records are essential, especially when managing threatened species. Here we present novel data regarding new distributional records for 17 bird species along the Amazonian slopes of the eastern Ecuadorian Andes. The new records fill gaps on our knowledge in the distribution, both in latitude and altitude. Although knowledge on the distribution of birds on mainland Ecuador has been well studied (Fjeldså Rostrhamus sociabilis ACCIPITRIDAE during recent years an inspiring number of articles have Snail Kite Cassin, 1854 - Two beenand Krabbe published 1990; documenting Ridgely and newGreenfield discoveries 2001; on2006), the individuals in juvenile plumage were seen flying over the distribution of birds in mainland Ecuador (e.g. Freile old-Zamora Airstrip on 6 March 2008, Zamora-Chinchipe et al. province (950 m a.s.l., 03°59’ S, 78°53’ W).

The U.S. Embassy in Quito assumes no responsibility or liability for the professional ability or reputation of, or the quality of services provided by, the following hospitals and clinics. Inclusion on this list is in no way an endorsement by the Department of State or the U.S. Embassy. Names are listed alphabetically by province, and the order in which they appear has no other significance. The Quito Consular District is responsible for the Provinces of Bolivar, Carchi, Chimborazo, Cotopaxi, Esmeraldas, Imbabura, Morona- Santiago, Napo, Orellana, Pastaza, Pichincha, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Sucumbíos, and Tungurahua. Consular jurisdiction for the remainder of Ecuador including the Galapagos Islands is handled by the U.S. Consulate General in Guayaquil. Healthcare is widely available throughout Ecuador. However, it can be limited in small cities and towns. The below list includes a list of hospitals and clinics, both private and public, located in the main cities of our consular district. Please consider that often, no English speaking staff is available. For any medical emergencies in Ecuador dial 911. Ecuador’s 911 emergency line is an integrated system that will channel any emergency to the right department: health, police, transit, or firefighters. They will provide information about the closest medical facility, and will activate their internal emergency response system depending on the emergency type.

This paper analyzes ICZM in continental Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands from the perspective of the 3S tourism, and presents its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT). The methodology used was based on a literature review of ten aspects of the highest relevance to ICZM, i.e., Policies, Regulations, Responsibilities, Institutions, Strategies and Instruments, Training, Economic Resources, Information, Education for Sustainability, and Citizen Participation.

Los usuarios deben agendar su turno, a través de la Agencia Virtual ingresando a https://sat2.registrocivil.gob.ec/portalCiudadano/turnos/crear.jsf?idRsT=b63ahKZhGjhtYQfvkAmRQw==. El turno es gratuito y debe obtenerlo directamente el solicitante, evite que intermediarios accedan a su información personal y hagan mal uso de ella. Se recuerda a la ciudadanía que el aforo en las agencias habilitadas de Registro Civil de Ecuador corresponde al dispuesto por el COE Nacional; con este antecedente, se hace un llamado para que agenden los usuarios que efectivamente requieran el documento de viaje. Monumental architecture such as tambos (inns), fortresses, and towns were strategically located along the royal Inka road. In the Central Ecuadorian highlands, the sites of Latacunga, San Agustín de Callo, and El Salitre remain a prominent testimony of Inka imperialism. Surprisingly, Inka remains were scarce in the archaeological survey at Tanicuchí, between San Agustín de Callo and Latacunga. The systematically aligned survey of Tanicuchí supplied information concerning six centuries of Prehispanic occupation in the area. Surface collection and analysis of material culture defined Tanicuchí’s origins and chronology. Relative dating suggests that initial Tanicuchí occupation began during the Integration Period (A.D. 800-1500), followed by Inka (A.D. 1500-1534) and Early Colonial (A.D. 1534- 1580) periods of conquest. The imposition of Inka and Colonial rules imposed changes on politics, economics, and social relationships reflected in the frequency and distribution of pottery types. A conspicuous sample of Tardío and Cosanga pottery found at Tanicuchí indicates intensive trade and alliances between highland and lowland populations during the Integration Period.
