I have met a lot of fantastic HQ staff and hockey volunteers across the state, whose tireless efforts are greatly appreciated. That is not to say that there have not been a variety of issues that have needed to be addressed but these have been managed in accordance with our policies and in a professional way by members of HQ. From my perspective I am very happy with our Board of Directors. It has a great blend of business and hockey experience and is a group who interact and communicate well. HOCKEY QUEENSLAND ANNUAL REPORT 2016 6 CEO’S REPORT This report covers the final year of Hockey Queensland’s three year Strategic Plan. Throughout this period the plan focused on increasing participation numbers, developing our athletes, coaches and officials, strengthening our hockey network and improving Hockey Queensland’s financial position. Each year of the plan has delivered significant progress towards the identified outcomes and 2016 was no exception.
