DOF ASA - Presentation 2013 7 DOF Project: «Paperless Navigation» Définition: (source: Kystverket) • e-navigation is a concept intended to secure simplified and coordinated electronic handling of information onboard and ashore in order to: • Increase safety of navigation and the protection of the environment in coastal zones and at sea. • Contribute to higher efficiency and reduced costs in the maritime sector. • Facilitate the workload onboard and for shore-based functions. • Provide a basis for improved contingency services.     SOUTH‐EAST BRAZIL – ATLANTIC RAIN FOREST BIRDING AT REGUA 23rd June – 20th August 2011 By Duncan Wilson Introduction Between 23rd June – 20th August 2011 I worked as a volunteer at the Guapi Assu Bird Lodge in Rio de Janeiro State, South East Brazil. The lodge is owned and operated by Reserva Ecologica de Guapi Assu (REGUA), a not‐for‐ profit organisation dedicated to protecting Atlantic rainforest. Regua currently owns and manages 7,500 hectares of tropical forest, and is actively engaged in programmes to acquire and reforest adjacent properties within the Guapi Assu watershed. With continuous forest cover from 30m to 2,000m a.s.l., together with a superb wetland, and access to adjacent farmland, REGUA has an incredibly diverse avifauna – to date 458 species have been recorded within the reserve, of which 118 are Atlantic forest endemics, and 63 endemic to Brazil. A significant number of additional endemic species can be found within a couple of hours’ drive on birding excursions organised by the lodge. My modest contribution to REGUA’s work mostly involved assisting the lodge’s bird guides on daily excursions around the reserve’s extensive trail system, and on day trips to nearby birding sites. I had a hugely enjoyable stay, with some of the best birding I have had anywhere.     Halliburton Project Nears Completion as Barracuda Achieves First Oil Production; Caratinga Vessel Currently Undergoing Sea Trials and Final Inspections December 22, 2004 HOUSTON, Dec 22, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) announced today that its KBR subsidiary and Petrobras have reached another important milestone toward completing the development of the Barracuda and Caratinga offshore fields in Brazil. Today first oil production from the Barracuda Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, P-43, at Barracuda field in the Campos Basin was achieved from well BR-23, at a rate of 10,380 barrels per day (bpd) of 25 degree API oil. The well, at a water depth of 770 meters, is linked to P-43 by a 3,668 meter subsea pipeline. The next well to be linked to the P-43 vessel will be BR-51, with an expected production rate of 11,950 barrels per day. Another 32 wells, which includes 18 production and 14 injection wells, will be subsequently linked to the Barracuda production platform. "The achievement of first oil production from the Barracuda field is yet another significant milestone in this project," said Andy Lane, COO of Halliburton. "As a result of the Barracuda-Caratinga project and others coming to fruition, Brazil is expected to achieve oil self-sufficiency. We are proud to be part of this landmark project and are committed to working closely with Petrobras to provide the necessary technical support to rapidly build production levels and sustain high levels of reliable performance from these valuable assets." After leaving the quay at the BrasFels shipyard at Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro State on December 13, the Caratinga FPSO vessel, P-48, is continuing to undergo sea trials and final inspections at the anchorage area off Ilha Grande, Angra dos Reis.

Este trabalho estudou a destinação dos resíduos sólidos na Região Hidrográfi ca VIII, que engloba os municípios de Casimiro de Abreu, Macaé, Nova Friburgo e Rio das Ostras dentro das bacias hidrográfi cas dos rios Macaé e Imboacica. Para tanto, um questionário foi aplicado aos municípios, com intuito de obter informações sobre a disposição e o gerenciamento dos resíduos sólidos de cada um deles. Os resultados preliminares mostraram que há dois aterros sanitários licenciados nesta área, em Macaé e Rio das Ostras, e que em Nova Friburgo há um aterro controlado. A tonelagem de resíduos recolhida por dia está distribuída, como se segue, Macaé: 320 t/dia; Nova Friburgo: 150 t/dia, Rio das Ostras: 70 t/dia e Casimiro de Abreu: 30 t/dia. Nesse contexto, faz-se necessário uma compatibilização entre o crescimento econômico e social e a proteção ambiental, adequando soluções, entre outras, para o gerenciamento dos resíduos sólidos urbanos.
