7.4 RECOMMENDATIONS After researching and interacting with the primary sevadals who have taken lead role on the RVTC service in Kerala, the following recommendation are derived. The Recommendations are listed after having in depth conversation with various sevadals and in-charges of District, State and National Level working for RVTC. The recommendations listed below are focusing on the challenges and Gaps identified in the current system.

1. After observing the statistical data of Kerala RVTC (Refer Chart 7.2.4 ) and Proposed 5 year plan(Refer Tab 7.3), approximately 80% of the RVTC courses are into Product making. Almost all the centers are equipped/will be equipped with facilities for product making process. Once the finished product is produced at the RVTC Center, the item needs to be sold to the customer to benefit the participants who has worked on making it.

If the supply and demand for the Items is met within the organization, that is, the finished product can be consumed by the members/devotees within the organization, it would be noteworthy support for the RVTC beneficiaries. A logistics channel and money management plan need to be derived and documented to implement this model. Quality standards also needs to be incorporated.

Fig 7.4 RVTC Supply chain model recommendation

2020 @Copyright SSSO All Rights Reserved Page 53

NATIONAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM FOR SELF TRANSFORMATION

2. It is observed that there have been notable instances were, RVTC sevadals does not receive enough support from their district/State. This issue arises due to non-involvement of office bearer into the service, thereby the complete service responsibility moves into the shoulders of sevadal. In order to lead a change on the issue, functioning of the training center will be entrusted to one of the Sai Youths of respective Samithi or Sai Center and the Sai youth needs to be supported and mentored by the offices bearers and District President.

3. Data on the reports which goes to State and National level needs to be re-audited by a Sai body in the State/districts. As it has been observed that there is GAP in actual service delivery and what is on the report. Report needs to be quality focused and not on the quantity. Also services should not be conducted for the sake of pompous show. Our focus needs to be more on the service rather than taking photographs and displaying on the social media.

4. Encourage participants to start their own self earning ventures. Educate RVTC participants during the program regarding getting external funding or support through govt. schemes. RVTC sevadals can introduce the participants with officials of “National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development”(NBARD) and help them avail funding for commencing a new business set up.

5. Keep register for participants; 1) starting from receiving application for RVTC , 2) For those who are selected for the training, 3) Attendance register while attending the course, and finally 4) course completion register. This will help track the training cycle completion and drop out ratio of the batch. Other book entries also needs to be maintained such as Available stocks (Raw material/ Finished goods) Alumni Register also need to be maintained.

2020 @Copyright SSSO All Rights Reserved Page 54

NATIONAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM FOR SELF TRANSFORMATION

6. As per the inputs received by the RVTC sevadals, after receiving the applications, before commencing any training enrolment, the selection must be given to genuine and needy participants only. A selection committee must be there to evaluate the candidate’s background.

NATIONAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM FOR SELF TRANSFORMATION

8.1 Individual learning (Self Transformation)

The SSSNLP Programme was so memorable and meaningful, and I am so grateful to my dearest swami for giving all these experiences. There have been positive changes in myself after undergoing the National Leadership program course. The programme has made me realize that mending leadership quality needs to be worked inwards and not outwards. The programme guided me to understand the very nature of mind, which I was not aware off before. Now I can keep a watch on it, Although I know that I need lot of refinement in my character; I will keep striving for it. I understand this course is a gift given from swami at right time in my life. I have felt it often, when I do not understand the situations, and how I should take control of it, my life would have been difficult without the learnings I received on this programme. Various session of National leadership program like Self Awareness, Managing Relationship-Building Trust, Self-Regulation, Managing Relationships - Conflict Management, Stress Management all have made changes in my life by which the way I approach situations have changes. The sessions have been very useful for me in my professional space and for my personal development. I can recollect some instances where I could literally apply the methods taught is the sessions to handle difficult situations in my corporate working life. -Arjun Ajit

I feel very fortunate and humbled to be picked up by Bhagwan for this life transforming course on Leadership. The NLP programme gave me an entirely new idea on ‘leadership’ which I am sure I could not have acquired from anywhere else other than Bhagwan’s fold. The first realisation that I got was that my concepts on leader and leadership were absolutely wrong. By understanding the real qualities of a leader my perception of a good leader changed and I came to realise that I was just a good manager and never a good leader. This realisation really opened up my eyes and made me understand many things shared and discussed without judgement. I am trying to become a good listener, myself. The level of acceptance in me has really grown. I have begun to train myself to accept many things that are needed for my change and I have also started accepting situations and people as they are, which has greatly helped me to improve upon many relationships. I have acquired a very positive attitude to many problems in and around my life. The values that were shared through our sessions have helped me a lot in my career too. Through this journey I am also blessed to have met with many of Bhagwan’s students and other devotees who have fully dedicated their lives to Bhagwan’s work. They are a real inspiration. I could also understand the importance of submission to Bhagwan and nowadays I always try to submit my every work at my lord’s feet

NATIONAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM FOR SELF TRANSFORMATION without attaching myself to the results. I also got to realise that every work, be it service or sadhana, that is carried out through our organisation, the ultimate beneficiaries are we, ourselves. Everything happening around me, good or bad, has a direct influence on me, which is my transformation. The moment I begin to understand the bigger picture, everything comes down to self-transformation. The sooner I realize it, the better. Also, transformation is to be achieved step- by-step. The challenge is to start climbing rather than standing down and gaping at the height and magnificence of the mountain. I have understood the importance of consistency and continuous steady effort in anything makes me a better person. I will always strive to be Bhagwan’s dear child. Jai Sai Ram. -Sai Abhijith

This program makes me aware of myself in respect to my leadership abilities. Now I’m able to develop a plan to strengthen my weaker skill sets and become a better leader. This was an energizing course that reinforces and introduces leadership methods that can help us both professionally and personally. The class taught me new leadership skills and expanded on the ones that I had. First part taught me about the basics values we have to build up being a leader like goal setting, preparing tasks lists, planning & prioritising tasks, Importance of listening, service mindset for customers, communication, responsiveness, time management etc. This was a great opportunity to do a self-analysis through the module self mastery, it helped me to better understand myself as a person and as a leader. This course gave me awareness about the importance of keeping values and ethics in our daily to day life. And the greatness of life and teachings of Swami. And I like swami’s guideline that “ The one who is a Sreshta (Leader) needs to exemplify the Leadership in Action first." Being a student of SSSNLP is a valuable opportunity I got here to know about a good ethical leadership quality from the expert trainers. -Saivisal K B
