June 7-10, 2017 Historic Hayward Field • University of Oregon Spectator Guide General Information Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) There are no ATM’s inside Hayward Field. ATM’s are available at: - Knight Law School 1st floor – south end (6am – 9pm daily) - Erb Memorial Union (EMU) on the University Street side (7am – 11:30pm Mon-Fri, 10am – 11:30pm Sat-Sun) - Tom’s Market at 19th & Agate Closed Captioning Service Closed Captioning will be available on the North Video Board for all announcements. Commercial Activities All commercial activities MUST have prior written approval from the UO Athletics Department. Concessions (food & beverage) Concession stands are located throughout Hayward Field. Sales are cash only. Lost & Found Valuable items will be turned into Parking & Transportation at the conclusion of the meet. These items include phones, wallets, ID’s, credit cards and keys. The offices are located at 1401 Walnut Street. 541-346-5444 Non-valuable items will be held at the Information Booth (at the replica east grandstands at the southeast corner of the track inside Gate 8) for the duration of the meet. At the conclusion of the meet, items will be moved to the Athletic Department and kept for 2 weeks. Contact the Athletic Department at 541-346-5293. Items turned in from the athlete areas will be stored at the Meet Operations tent for the duration of the meet. Merchandise NCAA Merchandise is available inside Gate 9 in the southeast corner of Hayward Field. Cash & credit card are accepted. Pay Phones There are no pay phones located on the University of Oregon campus. The closest pay phone is located at Tom’s Market at 19th & Agate. Prohibited Items in Hayward Field In alignment with other NCAA Championships, bag inspections will be performed at all public gates. Please be prepared to open purses, backpacks, and /or totes for inspections by security personnel. Patrons agree as a condition of the ticket license to allow inspection of any article capable of concealing these prohibited items. The following ARE PROHIBITED in Hayward Field: • Outside alcohol • No Smoking* • Glass or metal containers, vacuum bottles or other similar insulated containers (thermos- type containers) • Weapons of any sort • Fireworks • Explosives, or munitions. • Laser pointers • Drones The following ARE PERMITTED in Hayward Field: • Empty plastic beverage containers • Umbrellas are permitted but cannot be used or open in the seating and aisle areas of Hayward Field *For a healthier community and cleaner environment the University of Oregon is now smoke and tobacco free. All students, staff and visitors are asked to not smoke or use tobacco products on UO owned or controlled properties which includes Hayward Field and its grounds. TrackTown Youth League Saturday, June 10th the TrackTown Youth League Championship will take place at Hayward Field following the women’s awards. Estimated starting time is 7:00pm. Check in is at the Living Learning Center on 15th Ave across from Hayward Field. For more information, go to http://www.tracktownyouthleague.com. Re-Entry Re-entry into Hayward Field is allowed with a ticket & handstamp obtained from the gate staff. Wi Fi There is no public WiFi at Hayward Field. June 7-10, 2017 Historic Hayward Field • University of Oregon Spectator Guide Special Events TrackTown Live • Monday, June 5, 3:30-5 pm • Tuesday, June 6, 2:00-3:30 pm TrackTown Live is an inside look at the NCAA track and field championships. It will consist of two live 90-minute webcasts to promote the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and ESPN broadcasts. The guests will be NCAA track and field head coaches, NCAA student- athletes, professional athletes, local and national media, VIPs. They will discuss their season, their hopes, and their goals and feelings leading up to the NCAA championships at Hayward Field. This is a collaborative effort between TrackTown USA, U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), University of Oregon, NCAA, and TrackTown Productions with moderators Jordan Kent and Paul Swangard. For more information go to TrackTown Live. TrackTown Radio Free portable radios will be available to spectators at the NCAA Championships. Each radio will have four channels providing expert commentary on the field events each day. Radios will be handed out from the replica East Grandstand located at the southeast corner of the track. Olympic Day Saturday, June 10 Olympic Day is a celebration created by the United States Olympic Committee for youth around the world. June 7-10, 2017 Historic Hayward Field • University of Oregon Spectator Guide Tickets All fans entering Hayward Field must have a ticket, except for those fans under two (2) years of age. Any child under 24 months must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. How to purchase tickets Internet: Individual game tickets may be purchased with a Visa or MasterCard by visiting www.goducks.com. In person: Individual day tickets may be purchased (if available) at the University of Oregon Athletic Ticket Office located in the Northeast corner of the Moshofsky Center next to Autzen Stadium (9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday) or at the Matthew Knight Arena Ticket Office located at 13th Avenue & Franklin Boulevard (10am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday). By phone: Individual game tickets may be purchased (if available) by telephone through the Athletic Ticket Office with a Visa or MasterCard. In Eugene/Springfield call 346-4461. Outside of the area, call 1-800-WEBFOOT or TTY (541) 346-5418. Day of Meet: If available, meet day tickets can be purchased at the Bowerman Building (15th Avenue) or the ticket windows at Gate 9 (17th Avenue & Agate Street) when gates open to the public. Advance ticket sales will be available at the Bowerman Building during the meet. Will Call All general public Will Call may be picked up at the Bowerman Building Will Call windows only. Any team player lists will also be handled at this location. Resale of Tickets The unauthorized resale of tickets in, on, or around the University of Oregon property is not permitted under any circumstance and is prohibited by law. Any such violation will be addressed appropriately by the University of Oregon. People caught selling tickets in violation of the law may have their tickets and their right to future tickets to University of Oregon Athletics revoked. To avoid using counterfeit or stolen tickets, please only purchase tickets through the University of Oregon Ticket Office. Lost or Destroyed Tickets There is a $10 per ticket charge for all duplicate ticket requests. Duplicated tickets will be ready for pick-up at the Will-Call window on game-day only. Arrangements can only be made by the ticket holder of record. A Visa or Mastercard number must be provided at the time of your duplicate ticket request. June 7-10, 2017 Historic Hayward Field • University of Oregon Spectator Guide Getting to Hayward Field Bus Shuttles Spectators are strongly urged to utilize the shuttle service during the NCAA Track & Field Championships. Parking surrounding the University of Oregon and Hayward Field is very restrictive. City of Eugene and University of Oregon will be strictly enforcing parking regulations. Service: Begins at least ninety minutes prior to the gate opening. Buses run every 15-30 minutes from Autzen Stadium. Departures will continue for 60 minutes after the meet ends. Parking is available through Entry 5 off Leo Harris Parkway on the south side of Autzen Stadium. The shuttle stop at Hayward Field is located outside Gate 9 at 17th Avenue & Agate Street. Fare: No cost Bicycle Valet Parking & General Parking Service: Secure bicycle parking is available the Valet Bicycle Pen located outside the southwest corner of the Knight Law School (Agate Street & 15th Avenue). The service opens at least ninety minutes prior to gates opening, and closes 30 minutes post meet. Cost: No charge University bike racks are located outside the Bowerman Building and at the corner of 13th Avenue & Agate Street next to the Knight Law School. Bikes secured to fences or gates may be impounded. Car Parking Spectators are advised that parking surrounding the University of Oregon and Hayward Field is very restrictive. City of Eugene and University of Oregon will be strictly enforcing parking regulations. Unauthorized vehicles in University lots will be cited and towed. There is no designated parking for Hayward Field except limited accessible parking. Accessible Parking: Accessible parking is available for general public with disability. These spaces are available to vehicles displaying an official DMV-issued accessible parking placard or license plates and are available on a first come, first served basis. Accessible parking is located on 15th Avenue west of Agate, and on Agate Street. June 7-10, 2017 Historic Hayward Field • University of Oregon Spectator Guide With an official DMV-issued accessible parking placard or license plate, ADA patrons can also park in: - meters for free for the duration of the meter (e.g. if it is a 6 hour meter, they can park there free for 6 hours. If it is a 30 minute meter, they can park free at the meter for 30 minutes). - ADA spaces in University lots. Riverfront Drive: A limited number of spaces will be sold daily in Lot 4 just north of Franklin Blvd.
